I just watched the first Fionna episode. Halfway through I thought to myself "Wow this is really fan-fic-y" Needless to say I was quite pleased with the ending
The Fionna and Cake episode was kinda genius in that regard. Fangirls got their cheesy shipping and generic cartoon made for girls archetypes, and guys got the laugh of it all being one giant satire of girls cartoons. http://rebeccasugar.tumblr.com/post/17664610055/all-warmed-up-inside-the-demo-a-few-lyrics-were Buahahaha, that original opening line.
I wish they released a DVD with every single episode thus far. I'd buy the crap out of that.
And now, the thread rests for several months until the new seasons starts, then it shall be reborn
Sucks that I got into this show right as a season was ending.

I think all episodes were good in some aspects. Except Gut Grinder, everyone agrees that episode was shitty.
It only does if we start to take these as more than opinions. I'm kinda shocked to see wizard battle on the bottom. I thought abra kadaniel was one of the funniest parts of the season. My top 3: Hitman Some of the best humor in the series. This is the kind of episode I would show people to convince them to watch the show. What was missing I love the songs in Adventure time when they actually try, and this had 2 right back to back with some great production values. A good few laughs also helped keep it from being too off beat with the rest of the series. Incendium This is the only episode I can say made 11 minutes feel like 5. It was so packed with jokes, great animation, new faces and places, and even good use of songs and story development. Bottom 3: Morituri There are 2 things this episode tried to go for. Action which never works well in this show on its own, and Jakes dancing just doesn't count as humor to me. The monster LSP is a funny side character, but an entire episode of her just is 1 stretched out joke. Ironically the best part of this episode was before she became the center of the plot. New frontier Adventure time can do a lot more than humor, but an episode with an unlikable Jake and not a single good joke just annoys me.
what was the name of the episode where the ice kings back story is revealed?
holly jolly secrets part 1 and 2 [editline]16th February 2012[/editline]
You're right, let's start a discussion: Most and Least Favorite Season 3 Episodes Most: -Dad's Dungeon -Fionna and Cake -Incendium -Holly Jolly Secrets -What Was Missing -Thank You Least: -Paper Pete -The Monster -Apple Thief (Didn't hate it, it was jut "eh") -Wizard Battle -Another Way (Also "eh")
Wizard battle WHAT THE FUCK
I'm halfway through season 2 and i can say the only bad episode so far was Slow Love, almost all S1 ones were pretty good
Favorite season 3 episodes: -Hitman -the creeps -no one can hear you -jake vs me-mow -thank you -holly jolly secrets -dads dungeon Least fav: -Morituri te Salutamus -the monster -bad to worse -the new frontier -paper pete -incendum (please don't kill me) my favorite scene: "MY LIFE IS A FART" (soft cheese suicide)
I think Dad's Dungeon is my favorite episode of season 3 imo season 1 and 2 were consistently good but season 3 has been kind of hit and miss on the other hand regular show has been consistently great for all it's seasons. I don't actually think that there is a regular show episode I haven't enjoyed. There is just something about Mordecai that reminds me of myself :v:
Favorite from Season 1 would be Wizard, Season 2 would be It Came from the Nightosphere, and Season 3 is a very tough choice, but I think it boils down to Memory of a Memory. Least favorites are Gut Grinder (S1), S2 is a tie between Belly of the Beast and Crystals Have Power, and S3 is hands down The Monster.
holly jolly secrets part 1 and 2
I have to say that was one of my least favorites. The only good part was the ice king backstory, Other than that it just seemed like it was stalling for time.
I have to say that was one of my least favorites. The only good part was the ice king backstory, Other than that it just seemed like it was stalling for time.
The only episodes in which I looked at the time and was surprised by how early into the episode it was.
And that's that. I've watched every single episode of this show in the past 5 days. I feel like I'm overdosing.
Favorite of all time: Thank You There's that little something that i love about it that i cant describe.
Favorite of all time: Thank You There's that little something that i love about it that i cant describe.
Heart warming. This must be my favorite episodes of season 3.
Disregard what I said before the best episode of S3 is a tie between What Was Missing and Dad's Dungeon Wizard battle is a great one too imo "Well, I'm going to go back to my cave and wait for someone to kill me."
I found Dad's Dungeon to be really, really depressing.
I found Incendium to be really depressing
I found Incendium to be really depressing
Why's that? the Dungeoun episode was a downer for me because Jake's dad (and Finn's foster dad) was killed while trying to help his sons out, on camera. Well okay, not on camera per se but it was close enough. It was already known that he'd died (what with his advice from the other side in Crystals Have Power) but it was kind of awful to see the moment it happened. I know, it's a cartoon, and I should just relax, but still. Finn did get a kickin' rad sword out of the deal though.
It was because Finn was crying all the time And really? I never figured he died because of that. That sucks really bad
Maybe I'm just interpreting it wrong, but it seems to me that the beast in the chamber did him in right there [sp](the construction cranes and all were still sitting there, implying he never finished building it; plus all the other recorded messages were scattered on the floor, so yeah, that thing killed him.)[/sp] Anyway, I can't wait to see the Ice King try (and fail) to kidnap the flame princess
That's a really good point, whether or not it was the creature that killed him Personally I don't think so. But then again, if he managed to defeat it then Jake and Finn wouldn't have had to Then again, we're watching a fucking kid's show here. I think it's best to assume he survived as Jake never said that his Dad was dead

"Naw man, we're just dreaming at the same time" He assumed his brother was dead because he was appearing with his dad. Who is dead. :( [/sp]
fuck
Actually, to brighten the mood here, that monster couldn't have killed his dad. Crystals have power, we're given a flash back to Jake's dad training him, and Jake is much older than he is in the videos he recorded. At the first message which I assume he made last given he said he made the dungeon already, he's coughing. I imagine the monster beat him up and he ran out of there without really finishing the dungeon.
