Also, I'm pretty sure it's difficult for a virus to get through your skin, which is why you can swim in a stream and be fine, but then drink from it and get the runs. I think that's bacteria though, but it's probably the same for viruses.
Viruses can enter through absorbed water through your skin, eyes, mouth, nose and small cuts
Some people don't consider viruses as life. they don't fit the criteria for life such as DNA or a cell, they do however have genes in RNA and do evolve but they also cant metabolize and they can only reproduce in a host cell.
It's like that with prions, too. Prions are the agent that cause Mad Cow disease. They don't even have any RNA in them; basically all they are is a misfolded protein that the body copies when it folds its own proteins.
Viruses can enter through absorbed water through your skin, eyes, mouth, nose and small cuts
Well fine, you can wade through the stream in your clothes then. I guess since whenever I swam and didn't get sick, either I already had any viruses that were in the water, or there were none that were compatible with human cells.
It would make sense for viruses in water to be able to infect sea life and not humans though, because the virus would likely come in contact with sea life more than humans, and would reproduce more efficiently if it specialized in infecting sea life.
OP is right. Viruses are government conspiracies used to keep the people in constant fear and under constant control.
What is it with 05'ers and being crazy?
Viruses are harmless.
They only cause harm if they get into your cell.

Yeah that'll stop the water reaching your skin

That's like guns are only harmful if you point it at someone and shoot them in the face

Ammonia is only harmful when you ingest it
Ammonia is harmless
Only living organisms (bacteria) have DNA.
Wrong, a virus can contain DNA or RNA (T-even bacteriophage have double stranded DNA as their genetic material)
Also, I'm pretty sure it's difficult for a virus to get through your skin, which is why you can swim in a stream and be fine, but then drink from it and get the runs. I think that's bacteria though, but it's probably the same for viruses.
Obviously more of the virus would get into your system via drinking the water than through your skin.
1. What's a "New world order"?
2. doesn't matter to me, the point is that it hurts you
3. that's retarded, who thought of this shit?
oops

Exactly.

-snip- beaten to it.
You know guys that the sun doesn't really exist.
Think about it. Have you ever felt the sun or saw it yourself? They always keep the sun out of reach, and if you try to see it then you get blinded. We've seen photos of it, but photos can be faked. There's no solid evidence of the sun existing anywhere.
It's obviously some sort of government facility, but what could they be hiding from us?
Ammonia is only harmful when you ingest it

Difference is it has to get into your cell, unlike ammonia.
Imagine if there was a magical force that prevented ammonia from entering 99% of animal's mouths.
Ammonia is harmless to them.
Exactly.
With that logic everything is harmless.
Oops just realized you where being sarcastic.
Exactly.
You didn't read the thread properly, he's not saying viruses are harmless, he's saying the virus classification doesn't exist
You didn't read the thread properly, he's not saying viruses are harmless, he's saying the virus classification doesn't exist
That doesn't make sense.
Yeah that'll stop the water reaching your skin
Quit pointing out the holes in my logic. You make me sad, as you can see by this face, which consists of a colon and a left parentheses arranged to look like a frowning face. :(
But back on topic, It would be kind of ridiculous for viruses to be a hoax, because it would less difficult to just say that sicknesses that are supposedly caused by viruses were caused by bacteria, than it would be to make up an entire new form of life(or not life) and come up with how it works.
That doesn't make sense.
Exactly.
by the way, get more sources.
1 source alone could just be some conspiracy theory biased anti-obama website

No, but a virus that only infects cats, say feline AIDS, can get into your body and then never enter a cell.

And that big light in the sky is obviously a secret satellite the free masons put in the sky in the year zero.
I think that some random space rock that could not be seen with low powered telescopes would have been better for this example.
but there isn't one of those for virus's...
Viruses have receptors on them, and that's how they get into cells.
A virus that gives a dog a flu won't give a person the flu because people and dogs have different receptors on their cell.
If I injected 10 ounces of dog flu into you, you wouldn't notice anything unless the dog flu found a way into your cells (via receptors) and started producing.
So really, a virus that affects another species, probably won't affect you.

Wow, you're right, look at the sun through a telescope and tell me if it's real
Remember to wear shades
Actually better to do it at night so the sky is clearer
A virus is simply a troll in cell form.

'Ey! I'm not crazy.
Ammonia is only harmful when you ingest it

Ammonia is converted to Carbamoyl Phosphate by our livers, it is harmless to ingest.
That said, don't inhale it.
Glad to see all the necessary answers have already been given, otherwise I'd have brought down some serious justice.
