You'll be surprised how many people who were turned off by hip hop until they heard this madness. I'd say they have the capability of being up there with madvillain and deltron.

I find it hard to define "hip-hop community". I mean, Death Grips are probably moreso in the indie eye, but Odd Future certainly recieve more attention from the "indie community" than the hip-hop one if Pitchfork and the people at their concerts are anything to go by. I'll take an example like Kanye West. He publicly said that Tyler made the greatest video of the year. That buzz would pass on through the hiphop blogs. Yes Pitchfork adore them too, but it's more of a balance. Death Grips are kind of "outsider" hip hop than alternative.

I liked OF before I even listened to their music. Their interviews are hilarious. Death Grips is a little more "What is this and why do I keep listening to it?"

It's actually quite depressive music if you think about it.

I quite like Blackjack, but I'm not really feelin' Get Got that much. The background doesn't fit at all with the vocals IMO.

tbh even if I didn't like get got -and I do like it - then Blackjack would more than make up for it.
