Expecting 9 from Pitchfork at the very least. This album is going to make them fucking enormous.
I don't think it deserves a 10, but it's his opinion.
I think it's about on par with Exmilitary.
chill out, they're signed and they're growing in popularity by the minute but solely that they were signed to "Epic" doesn't mean they'll be enormous imo. As in properly mainstream, this is still very much what I'd call outsider hip hop.
However this is miles better than the Odd Future projects.
Good on Fantano to finally enjoy something to the max. I'm not sure I experienced this quite as amazingly as he seems to, but good for him.

Word that better, the experience imho wasn't as explosive as Ex Military, but as an official debut record I think it's pretty damn good. And I still need to hear it more to get to grips with it.

Previews for the Bjork remix series done by Death Grips.
Also, some buzz going around about Death Grips being signed to Sony now, any source?

Epic Records are owned by Sony lol
Oh right, that explains it.

Word it better? I don't think it's a perfect album.

I'm probably just looking for an excuse for them to come to Australia v:v:v
Pushing my mate to get tixkets now for their manchester set. I know uts going to be epic i just hope the venue was as compact as the oxox / w.e the london place was called. Mate had to leave mid way through the set shit was to tough for him.
There are still a lot of people saying that this shouldn't be called hip hop. There's one who even said he's a fan of Golden Age. Clearly some people really know nothing.
My copy of TMS just arrived. yessss.
It's weird to think Bjork listens to Death Grips
Didn't really like Exmilitary. I just found it too busy. Towards the end of the album I just kind of want to turn it off, but I really like some moments.
Listened to The Money Store for the first time and really liked it. The beats and hooks were just really catchy and it seemed as if there were no fillers. I've listened to it about 5 times now, and I'm really liking it. This could be my AOTY so far.

there are so many hooks that are going to be massive crowd pleasers live. The fever and bitch please are probably two of the best, but in general this album is going to gel so well with their live performance I think.

Alternatively: In The Money Store Over The Sea

Sounds like the title of a Japanese anime.

First review I've found that isn't glowing. It would be NME
what's this "No Love (2012)" release?

The second album they're going to release this year. That's pretty much all I know about it.
Their next album? :o

Can't wait to see fans reactions to this. As much as I love Death Grips and I liked The Money Store I wouldn't rate it much higher.
I reckon it will grow on me with time, might even like it more than Exmilitary in the end who knows.
Enjoying the new album a whole lot.
NME blows so dont waste your time reading it, heck its probably on par with kerrang.
They're entitled to their opinion. Not everyone will like it.
