I forgot what it's called, but the house has an extra dimension.
Isometric has to be a certain angle (forgot what it was) and it's impossible to do isometric drawings on a flat plain. :v:
Yeah, this is isometric: But what he doesn't have the roof too. Also, first isometric I ever made.
Joost, that isn't an isometric drawing. [editline]04:19PM[/editline] This is isometric, note how neither side is horizontal.
Yes it is, it's a very simple one, but it is isometric.
NO isometric in PW. :v:
Boohoo, I was just showing what isometric was, not blabla I'm awesome since i totally rock at it and u suck .
Sorry? I just said that Isometric is not used in PW, no need to get pissy.
Not against you...
Yes it is, it's a very simple one, but it is isometric.
No, that drawing of yours is not isometric. One side of it is horizontal, thus not isometric.
isometric is TECHNICALLY just a lack of perspective. Doesn't matter what angle you're looking from, just so long as there's no vanishing points, so something close to you will appear the same size as an identical object at a long distance behind it.
Wow, I decide to parooze the PW section to see if things are still going well here only to find this amazing idea? Very nice indeed Daijitsu! As much as I'd like to help out I don't have the time, but I like what everyone has done so far.

Take a look at the crappyily drawn image below: These are both isometric views of the same thing (crappily drawn though :v: ). Joost's drawing was neither, plus incorrect. Try imagining an actual house like that, or get a rectangle box and position it so you see it that way, its impossible. I just hope I don't sound like a dickhead or anything though becuase I keep going on about it, just pisses me off when people draw from an impossible angle and call it isometric.
Nothing was wrong about mine. It was just a front view, but still isometric.
Did you read anything I wrote? My above post is proving that, that is an inorrect drawing and not isometric.
And you totally did not read my post.
Boohoo, I was just showing what isometric was, not blabla I'm awesome since i totally rock at it and u suck .
I'm trying to explain that neither your drawing, nor the houses in mosh's map are isometric.
I'm just trying to show how SpartanApples is trying to be a know-it-all.
I'm just trying to show that this arguing is pointless and annoying.
You're arguing about what isometric is, lol. :v:
:v: Shall we get this thread back on track gentlemen?
Oklets begin: We need more maps hurrr :3:
I'm just trying to show how SpartanApples is trying to be a know-it-all.
Sorry, but thats just the way I am :v:
Alrighty, I'm back. Avoid herping and derping about semantics and let's get back to business. Need the arts section still, as well as others not discussed yet. Any volunteers for anything other than FT, GMF or RC?
News is still WIP
I couldn't be stuffed working on this map any longer, sorry. =\ I just quickly threw on the stuff on the right.
I started work on a museum, thanks to Spartan Apple's for letting me use his colours and such. :v:
Put more detail one those lions. The shape is right, but it just needs shading and other things you find on statues. Birds, poop, Bird poop, Hobo's.
..Drunken naked hobos, dead birds, gigantic metal cubes, trascans...
Less hallo, more art.
