I'd rather work for a slim, healthy body than a weak one.
Maintain healthy eating habits, just less of everything. I do it occasionally and I've still got plenty of muscle.
But if I don't eat I get so hungry from walking around school and walking home from school (3.5k walk or something) so I pig out.

I'm no bodybuilder but exercise has great benefits. ProTip: Sweet potato is great after exercise, replaces your carbs.
But if I don't eat I get so hungry from walking around school and walking home from school (3.5k walk or something) so I pig out.
Simple solution to pigging out after not eating: Don't.
But hungry.
But hungry.
Eat fucking sweet potato.
I have about 9 weetbix in the morning or I have oats or porridge, about 2 fruits for recess and 2 rolls for lunch.
skinnyfat?
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=skinny-fat [editline]5th June 2011[/editline]
problem with weightlifting is that you build muscle mass, but you barely lose any of the fat, not nearly as fast as with jogging, or cardio overall. so thats probably better when you're fat. when you're skinny power training is the way to go.
The problem with only doing cardio is, that you might lose weight, but a lot of that weight will be muscle.
I'm more or less skinny-fat right now because I do mostly cardio. What should be doing to build muscle then?
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=skinny-fat [editline]5th June 2011[/editline] The problem with only doing cardio is, that you might lose weight, but a lot of that weight will be muscle.
ah that's me right there
I'm more or less skinny-fat right now because I do mostly cardio. What should be doing to build muscle then?
Get a routine and do push ups, weights, squats and stuff. Witness the Fitness is probably better to ask.
how to build muscle: lift really heavy shit and eat shitloads of protein
I used to be a really really skinny guy, but then I just started doing as many push-ups and sit-ups as I could before I went to bed every night. Soon after, I added other things to my routine, like squats and stuff, and now I actually get compliments for how strong I look. Honestly, the feeling of being complimented on something you've been working on personally is a great feeling and is absolutely worth the effort.
The problem with only doing cardio is, that you might lose weight, but a lot of that weight will be muscle.
are you saying you're going to lose muscle weight? are you kidding me.
If you have a calorie deficit and don't eat a lot of protein and don't lift then yes, you will lose a lot of muscle.
wow. no, thats not even close to how it works. you'll gain muscles, you'll only lose fat, seriously.
If you have a calorie deficit and don't eat a lot of protein and don't lift then yes, you will lose a lot of muscle.
Wow, we're not that big. Muscle degradation for a bit of fat loss isn't going to kill off everything, if you are normal then it's unlikely to do anything.
how to build muscle: lift really heavy shit and eat shitloads of protein
You shouldn't generalise it so much, there's a huge variety of things you can do to build up certain parts of your body to make your figure look better. That's why I started adding other excercises to my workout routine: because I had slightly disproportionate abs and arms and needed to work on my legs and chest.
gain muscles from only doing cardio and having a calorie deficit?
where the fuck are you getting these calorie deficits, i'm talking about people, that eat like people do, and do cardio. they lose fat. there is no way that if you're usually sitting behind a computer all day you'll actually keep muscles you would lose when doing cardio. you haven't got a clue.
You're not going to lose weight if you're not at a calorie deficit.
where the fuck are you getting these calorie deficits, i'm talking about people, that eat like people do, and do cardio. they lose fat. there is no way that if you're usually sitting behind a computer all day you'll actually keep muscles you would lose when doing cardio. you haven't got a clue.
Hahahahhaha oh my god You have no fucking idea what you're talking about at all. I'm just here, saying that you won't lose muscle by doing cardio. as opposed to keeping these muscles while doing nothing.
so i guess im supposed to educate people here about muscles or something idk . AMA i guess

you're saying you won't gain muscles, and you will not lose fat by doing cardio. right.
no but how are you supposed to gain muscle by doing cardio wut [editline]5th June 2011[/editline] also you'll lose fat by being at a caloric deficit not just by doing cardio
:siren: YOU'RE DERAILING THE THREAD :siren: Even though being physically fit and looking good go hand in hand, let's end the argument and keep it chill. ....Please?
where the fuck are you getting these calorie deficits, i'm talking about people, that eat like people do, and do cardio. they lose fat. there is no way that if you're usually sitting behind a computer all day you'll actually keep muscles you would lose when doing cardio. you haven't got a clue.
idk wtf this is talking about but i have like 3 people telling to say stuff so. basically if your maint is say 2000 and you burn maybe 200 calories ( and along with the hormonal effects/type of cardio) you would basically raise your maintenance kinda . tldr by doing cardio your put yourself at a deficit. muscle wont be gained by doign cardio and eating at a maintenance but also shouldnt be lost
ok i was out of line by saying you'll gain muscles, there are possibilities to, but those besides. but you most certainly won't lose them. unless you run an hour a day every day. http://www.buildingbodies.ca/Cardio/cardio-muscle-loss.shtml
