I skimmed the OP, but I am a bit peeved that I have to reexplain my interesting pant predicament! Summary: can't find properly fitting pants in stores because I'm not grossly overweight. "Big and Tall" section is apparently just a polite way of saying, "Big 'n Fat" section, so that the tubbies who shop there don't lose self-esteem. I'm skinny and tall, and my pant size doesn't actually seem to exist in any colors or cuts except "beige" and "flappy." What are some good online retailers for finding inexpensive pants in uncommon sizes with a wide variety of colors and styles?
get your clothes from a tailor then you'll look especially dabber but considerably poorer as well
what about g-star?
I wear a beige blazer, with either a Lacoste polo (i really like their polos. good proportions) or some t-shirt, blue regular fit Levi's jeans and a pair of white adidas superstar sneakers.
Loafers may suit that better IMO. [editline]30th May 2011[/editline]
what about g-star?
Treat with extreme caution.
I own a top hat and cane I can literally walk around in my underwear, a tophat and a cane and I am the pinnacle of fasion.
no u dont [editline]30th May 2011[/editline] dont u know that moderators have lie-o-meters so we can check if ur post is a lie
you're lying that's why your lie-o-meter is going off [editline]30th May 2011[/editline] since this is the fashion thread I have to ask the most important question: why is naked but with socks weird-feeling and funny looking maybe I don't want my feet to be cold okay
Hi gais
I was talking to my dad about shoes the other day and he was saying how a few years ago you would've had to force kids into plimsols but they're now the in thing. He then said that he looks forward to when deck shoes are in fashion because he's been wearing them for years. I was like "oh dad you"
deck shoes are in fashion where i live
so, what hat is in fashion at the moment and won't make me look like i'm from the 70s
so, what hat is in fashion at the moment and won't make me look like i'm from the 70s
Straw trilby hats are popular but there's a risk of looking stupid unless you have that certain look. Good advice would be to not wear a hat at all.
deck shoes are in fashion where i live
that was my point, he said it and I laughed hard.
What's all this bootcut hate, man? I wear boots because they're comfortable and easy to drive with. Straight fit jeans get a big bulge. Though I can understand why not to wear them with loafers or something, but that's sort of a given considering they are called boot cut for a reason.
what are you talking about? easy to drive with?
Loafers may suit that better IMO.
hmm ye I've been thinking about obtaining a pair but then again I really like sneakers. they're quite practical when I have to make a run for the bus and how it doesn't matter too much if they get a bit dirty (I have to venture down a dirt (mud in some cases) road each day so)
Straw trilby hats are popular but there's a risk of looking stupid unless you have that certain look.
what are you talking about? easy to drive with?
Boots are generally easier to drive with, I dunno. Maybe it's just me.
Got my Zappa shirts in the mail today. Yess!! Edit: The Stuff shirt was worn by one of Zappa's drummers, but it says "Joe Cocker" on the card I got with it. Probably cuz he was a fan of Stuff too.
BAH. C'est la vie. Dibs on the next thread.

Might post mine pics... or preferably not, because I look wasted as shit on every pic ever made...
I have yet to see anyone from the 21st century that can wear a fedora, without looking like some kind of out-of-work troubadour.

I went from near shoulder length to having mine above the ears, and I've never looked back.
some people look better with long hair
lose the converse
no nobody in the whole world cares about converse. they're just standard shoes. [editline]30th May 2011[/editline]
A haircut is definitley needed. I went from near shoulder length to having mine above the ears, and I've never looked back.
no.
