If you have a high calorie deficit, and don't eat shitloads of protein, your body removes what uses the most calories first, ie muscle.
Unless you define high as over about 1200 calories deficit, no it doesn't.
Walking and shit is in a low metabolic state, your body is free to use the slow burning fat for what it's there for. If you have a deficit in your intake but not enough to make it panic, it will use the fat. Learn something about nutrition.

the body breaks down fat as well. seriously, loads of people keep putting off working out because they'll lose "muscle mass", get over yourself. as devodiere said, unless you eat nothing and work out hours a day you will lose considerable muscle mass.
muscles get broken down and build up all the time, it's just what the body does. some weight lost might be muscle mass, but even thinking that "most" of it will be muscle mass is a really fucking stupid assumption.
No matter what I consume, I don't gain any weight. Is this a problem?
Nah I'm the same way. I have plenty of years left in my life to worry about weight control. It's one less problem to worry about for the moment.
I need some new jogging trainers, anyone got any reccomendations?
I've started working out and cycling lots as part of my 365 project.
Is it weird that I rep 315-400lbs on the leg press with no problem?

Most people I see who I would assume to be stronger than me only do 200-300.
Trying to concentrate on upper body though.
rep it once or eight times?
Leg press machines are so different, you can't compare results if it's not done on the same machine.
do you have chun li legs
Not really, I think I have a picture of my legs in my dropbox when I was debating with Jaanus about who has the hairiest legs(he won). Should I bother posting it...

My gym doesn't allow under 16's to use free weights :smith:

Become older
I turn 16 in 3 months and I'm going to start using the free weights anyway once they finish the rebuild of the free weights area at my gym.
Curse my curly jew hair. I got it cut short like I wanted, but the bangs are all shitty and gappy because of the curls. :\

Rusty100 - Where did you get that N7 Mass Effect Hoodie?

Makes sense. Doing weights when you're too young messes with your growth. It's no secret
Makes sense. Doing weights when you're too young messes with your growth. It's no secret
That's actually never been proven, and I never see it go wrong with anybody. I know plenty of people younger than me who work out regularly. Maybe not like MASS Muscle building, but keep toned and in shape.
I started at 14 and I'm still doing well.
just ride a bike, shit.

It's a myth, and why would free weights stunt growth, but not using machines.

Soft building doesn't do harm, yes, but yes, mass body building will. Young teens are encouraged to do push ups and burpies which are in reality daunting tasks, yet weightgain and heavy lifts arent recommended

dunno, discouragement of bodybuilding while in growth always really made sense to me.
you know a lot of stress on bones that are still expanding. i decided for myself to wait until i was nearly grown out, just to be safe.

Don't like the folded up pants. Folded up pants can look okay, but everyone and their mother is doing it these days, and most of the time it looks like shit.

things wrong:
cuffed trousers
stripy shoes (are they toms?) I don't think toms look good w/ trousers anyway
wearing the shirt like a flaming homosexual
shirts tucked in to trousers
man bag
necklace
creepy moustache
I saw an old lady (75 years old+) wearing Toms today, I cannot bring myself to wear mine now.

I dig it, I don't think a baggy half life shirt, neckbeard and N7 hoodie would suit him tbh.
