This would be great if in an American version they used voices that aren't ridiculously high-pitched. I think that's the main problem with Vocaloid. I mean it's popular in Japan and all but it only appeals to a small niche of people.
There are no posts like that. Stop making things up, you racist.
The fact that "jap" was used heavily and arguably originated in WWII propaganda does give it an unfriendly background, though it's generally not used with such an intent today. It's like calling a Native American "Indian"; it's considered politically incorrect because it was used a lot back when they were being forced out of their homeland (although it was arguably a progressive term at the time which it originated), but nobody uses it today with malicious intents. Also, Japanese is a nationality, not a race.

Not saying that every use is malicious, but it seems like it's usually preceded/followed by some terrible stereotype. I'm all for taking the power out of words we consider bad by removing the negative connotations, but first of all, in this case, I don't think it's our call to make. Secondly, this isn't how you do that.

Vocaloid Sweet Ann has a semi-heavy female voice but her English voice bank is amazing

All the vocaloid music is community made.

UTAU is basically people can make their own free vocaloids by recording them selves. They had some kind of concert with thing 300,000 people attending.
Hatsune Miku sold 100,000 tickets to a concert, where all that was done was playing ~her~ music and showing videos on a screen.
Oh, you mean this concert?
It's a fucking robot that sings better than a human can, and you people are bitching that she looks like an anime character ?
Luckily, I was ready!
its funny how the only bad thing about that video is the singing its obnoxious
Okay uh...are you just going to keep complaining or what?
It's a fucking robot that sings better than a human can, and you people are bitching that she looks like an anime character ?
Better? Not really.
Threads like this make me :colbert: [editline]9th April 2011[/editline] Wow fuck, I made it about 6 seconds into the second video Glad I had death metal on standby to purge that shit from my mind.
Is it just me who think all j-pop music sounds the same?
I have the PSP games and they're pretty damn good. But yeah, you posted something anime related or what ever then you're just asking for a shit storm.
have to agree i love the psp games, i prefer the second one though, Way better stuff on it. Also I could give less a shit about the Anime representations of the voices, i just like the music Also fun fact to people who own Peace walker on the PSP, It uses Vocaloid Technology (you can find it in the options section or something once you progress into the story alot).
Last time I post in this thread but GD's reactions to OP liking Miku made me lose faith in humanity yet again. Not because I was LOL BUTTHURT but because it was Japanese and because it was associated with anime. I hope you're happy GD.

That's just silly.
I find the whole Vocaloid thing very bizarre just because it (originally? Dunno where it's gone now.) isn't real. At all. And that is weird.
as desu is a copula and ne is a word and desu is typically translated by real people (not weeaboo faggot bags) as "to be" unless warranted otherwise it's "to be *something"
'ne' is what makes it a question. Object Y desu = It is an Object Y. Object Y desu ne = Is it an Object Y? feel free to r8l8m8
Megpoid Gumi is better in my opinion. But that's just my personal taste.
Hi, I'm up at 2:30am and what is this?
