It's most likely some training lawls passed off as real photos. :edit: See, that blood looks painted on. And the second one tripped.
What the hell is even going on the iraqi image. I just see one soldier draging a wounded one and another guy comes up and head butts him.
I think that there is four soldiers, the first one was hit on the far right, then a second is shot on the far left, then on the right, one soldier is trying to drag him, and then from the left another soldier tells him to move on. That's what it looks like to me.
I love how we go from bashing on ROTC to questioning the legitimacy of some dickhole's photos.
I never understood why they use toy guns. Why not use real ones with no bullets?
I was in JROTC for about a year and a half in High School. I quit because it was full of a bunch of pussies that thought they were training to be military badasses but couldn't do shit in reality. After meeting tons of people from all over the nation in college, that seems to be the case everywhere. Especially when it came down to PT. JROTC kids always tried to brag about how tough PT was, so I joined and figured I'd see what it is all about. PT was piss easy, and when I was moved up to 1st Sgt. to lead the PT sessions, kids cried about how I was making it "impossibly hard" just because I was making them move around. The whole "learning how to lead" thing is bullshit. It's more like "Do what I say or I'm gonna whine to the Colonel about you and you're gonna get demoted." None of the leadership exercises and shit we did were applicable to real world scenarios. I ended up having to take control of nearly every situation because I was the only person that knew how to deal with conflicting interests, skills I learned from being a linebacker in football. Also, even though I was a 1st Sgt. for only a semester before I quit that bullshit program, the army came and did that stupid RFI deal that they do every 4 years or whatever. We scored like the 4th highest in the nation. I had facial hair and laughed when I was drilling my company and still got a perfect score. What a fucking pushover program.
1st Sgt. for my company was a total cunt only in her position because her father's the school's recruiter. She had no goddamned idea what she's doing and most of our time in class was spent fucking around because she had no drive to actually get things done, just sit around and gossip and exchange phone numbers with our cadre. That's why I quit the program, because I actually know what I'm doing and staying in would have probably made me commit suicide.
Meh...I try to stay out of things that I'm not sure about. Unless you're certain on joining the military, just create a community service club or work with a local volunteer organization.
Yeah I joined the Key Club. We do community service and don't have to wear uniforms.
About 10% of my school is ROTC, so we get a weird mix of dumbass freshmen that joined it to get out of gym and the upperclassmen who are truly dedicated to it. Most of the freshmen don't give a shit and are only in it to fill theirs schedule. They're the ones who are found dawdling at the back of formations, out of step, and never shutting up. Meanwhile, the others try to pick up the slack of the freshmen but ultimately fail. While all of this is going on, I'm whooping my ass in the ever under-appreciated marching band and actually accomplishing something.
I wonder if 2 schools can have the same R.O.T.C branch(most likely yes, 2 schools can have the Army ROTC). I am also surprised that the Coast Guard has their own R.O.T.C, whats next, a Coast Guard J.R.O.T.C?
1st in state in Armed ex :smug: GA-934 :patriot: [sp] did you hear the gasp when we did the blue ridge? [/sp]

It ended up being pretty funny because I would only let the rough kids transfer in, so while my company tended to have the most kids not wearing their uniform and stuff (I stopped wearing mine eventually), we kicked ass at all the piss easy PT competitions.
the jrotc group at my school are all extremely nerdy and have no friends and they think being part of the military is like CoD
the jrotc group at my school are all extremely nerdy and have no friends and they think being part of the military is like CoD
:bandwagon: much?
I was told once that I should join the JROTC. I was confused and asked why. He responded by saying that I act like a robot or something. This lead me to believe that the JROTC is for tools, and yes, I'm very positive that it is.
What's the point of those drills that you posted OP?
I feel bad for all the ROTC students in College, they have to get up at 5AM several days a week. Also, not trying to flame or be a troll, but every ROTC cadet that I've come across seems to have social problems. I find them all to be very socially awkward.

All we ever do is the basic commands, none of those crazy ass rifle movements. :ohdear: Although, is that an exhibition or a regular armed event? I'd imagine it would be exhibition.
I just got Corporal in my JROTC Battalion. [sp]Which i should have been at the end of my LET 1 semester, im now a LET 3...[/sp] But, im the Executive Commander for my Raider Team. :buddy:
Today we ran a 1 mile platoon formation run in the snow. it wasn't that fun
no offense but 1 mile is nothing

And the only reason why you go it was because I was working on my Science fair project And btw... Im Cadet Sergeant 1st Class but I should be a Cadet Master Sergeant... I'm being thrown into Oak Ridge Military Academy so.... I dont know what will happen to my rank
I have a good amount of friends in my school's JROTC......they all want me to join and at one point I almost did, but ultimately I've determined it's not for me.
no offense but 1 mile is nothing
Well, running in the snow can be a pain, no matter how fit you are.
Our drill team breaks anything they touch... including the rifles
no offense but 1 mile is nothing
I remember making all the kids in my company run a mile. As a warm up. They were making their way back towards the school after it, think that was the entire workout. I got pissed so I had them wrestle and that shit was hilarious. A bunch of nerdy kids rolling around in the dirt with less motor control than a baby giraffe. Jumped in and started tossing them around. That was my last day of ROTC because the Colonel took me into his office and said I was being way too rough with the cadets and that I had to take it easy on them to boost their self-esteem and make them into capable leaders. And the kids that go through ROTC practically get to skip the first few ranks in the real military and enter as officers. What kind of bullshit is that? The guys that actually go out there and prove themselves in battle should be officers, not the pussies that go through the program at school so they can skip the whole fighting part.
Only good thing about JROTC was it got me into the Army at a higher pay-grade, even so I had fun with it while I was in high school. When I was the DC our unit won more drill trophies than we ever had before and no one has beaten my record yet. We had plenty of pricks though, people who took it way too goddamn seriously, I just had fun, stayed in for 3 years then got into the army as a PFC. Of course I got discharged after a month because I got my eyes fucked up, but that's a story for another time.
bet OP expected to get respected user out of this or something.
We have Army JROTC. I'm a corporal and they bitch about my hair all the time with stupid jokes. "Hey have you seen D?" "Who?" "De barber!!!l1 lololol" Our CO is a prick and I never listen to him and I always tell him I'm a 27 star general. He gets angry and takes it seriously along with his Lt. Colonel rank. And all the kids are mostly WoW kids except a few cool ones.
So it's boy scouts but instead of trying to convert you to Christianity they're trying to get you to join the military?
