so you can only DL 100lbs?
so you can only DL 100lbs?
Um, I have no idea. I've got enough self-confidence that I don't feel the need to constantly measure the number of lbs that I can DownLoad. [editline]30th June 2011[/editline] (That's what "DL" means, right?)
no [editline]30th June 2011[/editline] also new maxes: Deadlift: 120kg Squat: 85kg will try 70kg bench tomorrow and 90kg squat next week
no
Oh, does it mean "Deadlift"? Can you please tell me how much you can Deadlift so that I can know for sure whether or not I am more of a man than you are, please? [editline]30th June 2011[/editline] I get the feeling that if it's more than the weight of a mattress - or something else actually practical - I'm in serious trouble!
me = 265lbs you = ~100lbs boy I wonder who wins
me = 265lbs you = ~100lbs boy I wonder who wins
Probably me, because I'm not a tool.
in that case, take this wrench [editline]30th June 2011[/editline] you are now a tool u mad sir?
I'm just goofin. Please don't beat me up!! [editline]30th June 2011[/editline]
me = 265lbs you = ~100lbs boy I wonder who wins
All kidding aside, and I'm really sorry if I sound like a jerk saying this but, I actually know people like you in real life - those guys who secretly take steroids (or wish they knew someone who could hook them up with steroids), casually wear overly-tight shirts everywhere, and talk about how many pounds they can pick up.. all with this sort of delusion that anybody around them cares (nobody actually does). :( You're the guy at the party who somehow manages to "accidentally" get his top off, tries to pick up the front half of somebody's four-door sedan, & then tries to pick up somebody's girlfriend before leaving and still thinking he's super awesome. But really, everyone at the party is like, "Man, I'm glad that guy finally left. He's probably going to the gym, lol." Again, I'm honestly sorry if this makes me sound like an asshole to you, but I thought you maybe deserved to know the truth about what normal people think of you. I may be wrong, though. Things could be totally different in... Estonia. [editline]30th June 2011[/editline] For real though, please don't beat me up.

This is the worst, most prejudiced generalization I've ever seen. No relations to reality what so ever. Wanting to achieve, to be better at something, doesn't automatically give you a jerk personality. Some take this activity seriously, without showingoff. [i.e, me]

[i.e, me]
I'm genuinely sorry for sounding like a dick to you, especially because I am absolutely friends with super-muscly body-building guys who are also awesome, friendly, hilariously funny, honest, heartily-benevolent and intelligent people. The observation you quoted was piloted directly towards the person I quoted, because he completely seemed like "one of those people" to me. Except for what I've quoted here, I know literally nothing about you, my friend. And except for what I quoted/replied to from that other guy, I know nothing about him. You seem super cool. He seems like a super dolt.
He's russian, man.
llo
i'm 120 10% bodyfat :D (kinda skinny though) oh and 5'7"
As nice as you may sound, I never judge people. Try to stay the same. NotMeh is beyond awesome. He's russian, man.
Well, to be fair, Estonia is only a kind mole on Russia's rear end. But also, he seems (to me) to be an obnoxious muscly man, while you appear to be a cool dude who happens to like to be in exceptionally good shape. Obviously that's only a first impression on a relative outsider to the Facepunch (please don't punch me in the face) Fitness usergroup, but I feel like my impression is completely fair since I posted what was obviously a joke message and he posted a "You're THAT WEAK I'M stronger than you haha" message in response. That's a dickish move regardless of the context, and gives me an immediate (and negative) idea of who this person is in the real world. It's weird, because I actually remember seeing NotMeh posting years ago about something not related to muscles and he seemed like a pretty cool dude, but his posts in response to mine in this thread have completely changed my opinion of him. Maybe it's my fault, maybe it's his. Either way, I should probably just leave this thread. :airquote:
tl;dr "i make baseless assumptions about people by how they behave on the internet" pls go
The fact that your reaction to my post is "'words'" and "pls go" just further reinforces my idea that you're obnoxious, steroid-chugging, and relatively stupid. I am truly sorry if I'm insulting you, but it's not a huge stretch to imagine that your online personality resembles your "real" personality - if there's even any difference between the two at all. If I knew you in the real world, I would do my best to avoid ever spending any time around you. Frankly put, your personality is horribly ugly - it's atrocious and abhorrent, from what I've seen here so far. You're probably great at putting work into your physical appearance, but I feel like it would seriously benefit you to put some positive effort into working out your appeal to other people, on a more social sort of "real" level, & less of a muscularly aesthetic level. Of course, all of this is only true unless my Westernized view is too culturally narrow, and people in estonia actually place more value on physical characteristics than actual personality traits (though most sophisticated/even slightly modern societies don't). In which case, you'll probably do great to continue your current tendency to be an annoying, muscle-bound, confrontational person. If you're anything unlike what I'm assuming you are, you sure haven't shown it to me so far. Also, do you actually use steroids? (You might be a nicer person if you didn't.) Are they even illegal in estonia? I'm guessing they aren't.
didn't read just go already ps. I'm natty

He's just understandably annoyed that you're preachy over some blown out assumption you had of him because you instigated him. My recommendation: If you want to learn about lifting and getting stronger than stop thread shitting and start asking questions. None of us here are assholes to someone who is willing to learn.
Age: 17 Height: ~5'6" Weight: ~140lb Max: I haven't identified my 1RMs. wtf no nipples I think I need to bulk up, but at the moment I'm too busy with school to dedicate a lot of time into gym/body-building, and I'm also still quite short so getting too wide would make me look disproportionate. I dunno though, I definitely want to do more, I'm just hoping I grow a couple of inches by the end of high school, which is when I plan on getting right into it. I don't know of any photos I have from when I started, but this is me about a year ago.
bulking up doesn't take much time. You just have to eat a lot and lift for about an hour a day around 5 days a week. I wouldn't worry about getting too wide bc once you're happy with your size you can stop bulking and can just operate on maintenance. [editline]4th July 2011[/editline] around 5 days a week being the maximum btw

does anyone here even work on their fucking lats
does anyone here even work on their fucking lats
My lats are so unproportionately big&strong in comparison to the rest of my body, that I use my lats when I do everything. Even curls.
does anyone here even work on their fucking lats
yes [editline]5th July 2011[/editline] /obvious answer
