I don't even fukin know how to do that
If you had it, you'd know how to swing it.
i just realized i can pec bounce, haha its awesome
Just curious, (don't mean to look like a dick as this is my first time in the bodybuilding section) is anyone here actually a bigger dude? Everyone here is about 5'10-6ft and like 150 was i think the max I've seen. (I also haven't read through the whole thing, sorry). It seems like, while you generally seem very cut and muscly looking, you are all kinda tiny... in overall size i mean not that you look like toothpicks. Let's see some modern day gladiators in here. I started working out to gain size about a month ago (was previously on a diet and dropped 30 pounds, and wasn't allowed to work out). I'm 5'10" and 173lbs. I squat 245lbs, bench 170, barbell curl and skull crusher 70, dumbbell row 60 (all of these weights are for 5 reps and 5 sets each, and in pounds obviously). Still working on trying to get down flexing lats...

lol this
Well tbh there all new and most don't play sports or have any reason to be big.
I'm 5'11 and 250lbs myself, still bulking/maintaining. 315 bench, 315 clean, 455 squat. Not that strong, but hopefully will have a 405 bench,405 clean and 550 squat end of this school year.

Understandable reason for nobody being like crazy big I was just asking. I'm not a personal fan of the super cut look, nothing wrong with it just not my preference.
Bad ass, let's see some pics.
dont think ive seen anyone flare their lats here
Binsky is like 6'1 and 180 or some shit
I should have read all the pages. Sorry if my statement was overgeneralized.
actually, i'm 6 ft but yeah
I'm 6'2 and 160, i was like 150-155 for the longest time but now I've been eating more to support my working out and my quest to gain muscle, which started about two months ago.
bulking up doesn't take much time. You just have to eat a lot and lift for about an hour a day around 5 days a week. I wouldn't worry about getting too wide bc once you're happy with your size you can stop bulking and can just operate on maintenance.
[editline]4th July 2011[/editline]
around 5 days a week being the maximum btw
Ty for the reply. I've done some research and I've decided to use the next two weeks of school holidays to start bulking and hopefully continue beyond the holidays. I'll try post progress as I go.
Since I'm ~65kg (about 140lb), each day I should consume 215g of protein, preferably in 5 separate meals, and up to 280g of carbs, a quarter of which should come from my first meal, and another quarter of which should come from my post-workout meal. As well as that, I'll take fish-oil capsules with my last meal
Does that sound right in terms of diet? Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.
Sounds too expensive and plain unessecary. You can go with 3 or 6, it has no difference beyond your own convenience.
I don't consume that much protein and do amazingly fine. Don't macro-manage so much. At your stage of training it really doesn't change a thing beyond having a headache.
Eat whenever you can, how much you feel you can. Either 6 meals or 3.

basically this,
That amount of protein is excessive for what you are trying to achieve. The number of meals is irrelevant. I eat more meals because it is a bit better for digestion and i find that i can eat more if it's scattered. Just eat a shit ton.
Alright guys, thanks for the pointers.
My breakfast today was ridiculously filling:
Three egg omelet with
Ham
Tomato
Onion
Garlic
Potato
Mushroom
With three slices of mixed-grain bread and a mug of milk.
And then I had a protein milkshake after gym, and now I have to eat dinner. I'm still full from breakfast >__>.
That's a start...
Would you guys recommend going to the gym on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule or every day? Cause I've been doing the first option but I'm wondering if it'll help build muscle faster if I go every day.
1st option. is better.
don't go errday
The guy i went with at the beginning goes everyday and works on different muscle groups or something. He's also trying to bulk but he's eating the same amount of calories that he normally ate before he was trying to bulk :v:
I go by myself now though.
