imo straight bar is easier. I don't really like preacher curls.
Also I have a lifting guinea pig now.

This is him at 5'4 and 117lbs. I'm going to put him on proper diet and a modified SS and see how quickly I can get this fayget to progress.
Fix his posture first. He looks like he's walking face first into the nearest grave.

Well he's actually a year older than me. He's just significantly shorter and smaller than I am. I have a workout partner and then he's like my workout apprentice or some shit.

I'd do this test first, just a quick tip;

check it.
are these in pounds? because that means you're benching 120kg, and curling 68kg.
that sounds a bit much from what I've seen in your pictures, unless I'm not converting that right.
yes, pounds. my body type is really weird, i have really strong lean muscle covered by some bulk. it's really awkward looking... but i'm starting actual bulk lifting versus just doing toning for a while.
[editline]28th January 2012[/editline]
oh what the fuck i didn't mean 150 god dammit i meant 115
no way in fuck could anyone who's not a power lifter curl 150 pounds, that's fucking absurd.

eh. not my best. but see what I mean? I have some definition, but i'm mostly lean muscle with bulk on my chest and biceps. and that's it. I wish I was fresh and not as horrendously sore as I am today :( maybe I'll take better ones when I'm fresh again
I haven't worked out in like 2 years, no exercise just eating and sitting my ass around studying so i have a question guys..
How long should it take my muscles to get fit like they were at my peak? i can't lift for shit
I have asthma, and i stupidly smoked like a chimney all year so my lung capacity is really, really shitty at the moment, both my bikes are broken and i used to do about 4 to 7km a day on them
I don't think i should hit up the gym just yet, i can't even do a proper push up, what exercises at home should i do to reboot my MUSSELS, guys?
If it helps i'm 6"5 and at around 100KG
Also here's a picture of me about 4 months without working out. this being March 2010

So what can i do? I really need to work out to improve my health, i'm tired of feeling like shit all the time! D:

I have a tendency to store fat on legs mostly and midsection, so I can't really relate to how you feel right now. All in all, you look fine.
Also, maybe I can give you a hand, fetch me your routine.

Personally, I always kill myself. I never was the kind of guy to take things gradually.
However, most are not like me, so I'd say fix your diet, get a proper lifting routine regardless of your current smoking and fitness levels.
Be constant, and be the change you want in your life.

Body Fat Percentage: 23%
Bench Press: 200lb (90.72~kg) I haven't really done a 1RM for Benches

no deadlifts? also, 200lb bench press for someone who started 2 months ago is pretty good, I'm guessing that's your strong point? though, that contradicts (somewhat) the fact your squat is so high. I'm guessing you've been heavy for most of your life?
Also, for someone lifting that heavy you shouldn't be asking the questions you asked about.

I haven't really done any dead lifts yet, but I know I should be. I'll probably try my hand at them next time I go.
Yeah, I just started losing weight and going to the gym, though I was sort of a decently fit fat kid? If that makes sense, I was large but I wasn't heaving and hoeing every time I moved since I walked to school every day for years (Quads of steel!)
My arms aren't super great in my opinion, at least not compared to my legs. But I think my legs might just be above average so it's dulling the feeling on the arms.
i don't know if you're fit but you're pretty strong for someone who has only gone to the gym for 2 months
Calling out ur squat brah. Either higher then snoop dogg or it wasnt even a squat at all.
calling both out , bad form or pro genetics
why not both
