guys i was deadlifting and developed this slight pain in the outer side of my right wrist
it's only painful if i rotate my thumb inward
anyone know what's up? :(
depending on if it keeps getting painful during the lift and if this pain affects other lifts. If yes, rest it completely and do wrist exercises. For the most part, shit just dont happen to you with no reason aka weak forearm, insufficient flexibility...
If not, ease the load for a week on specific lifts and it will go away
I'm on a lifting to failure program (though you need a spotter, because isometric movements on failure can damage your muscle, it has to be isotonic) and I have gained around 3kg in 4 months, and my arms went from 31 to 35 cm, and my chest widened alot along with my back (though I only worked out mostly in thickness, and I'll change my back session a bit this new year).
I didn't train hard enough anyway, and I ate lots of McDonalds when I was all day at uni.
But no, training to failure is not bad at all, if you do it right. You just have to focus on intensity not weight, so you can get optimal myofibrillar hypertrophy at 10 reps a set.
Edit:
And I'm planning to do this for another 4 months then I'll switch to power training for a while.
Edit:
Also I'm an ectomorph so that's probably why I didn't get fat with my bad diet.
Edit:
And I take into accunt failure over all of my 5 sets. Let's say I start with 40kg benchpress. I have to be able to do 10 reps on all 5 sets. And I reach failure on my 3rd set, then on the 4th I sometimes do 10, sometimes 9 or 8, while on the last I usually do 8 only. And this is to failure, starting around my 3rd set. And this gradually increases intensity. Because just starting with a larger weight and training all sets to failure seems a bit too tiring for a whole 1 hour and a half session.
you and you 40 kg bench press are not someone who i would look too for advice. 6lbs in four months? thats terrible seeing as its all bad weight since you at mcdonalds everyday
you and you 40 kg bench press are not someone who i would look too for advice. 6lbs in four months? thats terrible seeing as its all bad weight since you at mcdonalds everyday
It's not really bad weight. I'm still at 9-10% bodyfat, like I was before, but this time with more muscle mass.
Edit:
I tend to gain weight quite quickly if I don't watch the number of sugary calories I eat. McDonalds was never a problem for me, and no I don't eat daily, but there was a peak with 3 to 4 meals a week.
Edit:
You know what guys, disregard my advice then, it's not like you must feel obliged to follow whatever training form I follow. But I'll just do my thing this new year, and I'll post results in november 2013. I already have a good photo of me this november when I was a bit bulky and prolly 12% body fat.
rate my jihad muzz pls. hehe ty

No abs, but i'm working on it. Also, getting a 2 week break due to a tailbone injury.
your left arm looks waaaaay out of proportion to the rest of your body. is every day arm day?
yeah no lie but you look pretty curlbro right now. it's probably the angle since it shows the broad side of your triceps and not much else
Sexy. :3
nohomo.
your left arm looks waaaaay out of proportion to the rest of your body. is every day arm day?
It's maybe due to angle. Although I do train every time my hands, but I train with a resting day in between, although I always do the same training circuits (pullups/chinups - benchpress - biceps dumbbells - triceps dumbbells - squats)
yeah no lie but you look pretty curlbro right now. it's probably the angle since it shows the broad side of your triceps and not much else
curlbros dont have side delt development like that brah
curlbros dont have side delt development like that brah
not much of a sidedelt tbh
anyhoo, idk.
trying to get my bench up to 350, but my wrist is holding me back. I think it might but broken lol. yolo
Finally found out what's a curlbro. Nah guys, I pay proper attention to other parts of the bodies too, although my biggest concern atm are back and chest muscles, because I will need the ability to pull up and climb up a lot and properly when starting pk.
I might post proper photos sometime later.

your chest and back look pretty good from what i can see. maybe a front flare photo would help, instead of a side pose.

Alright, I will post a semi-naked one when my parents are out of home.
Alright, I will post a semi-naked one when my parents are out of home.
My parents accepted the fact, I like taking semi-naked pictures of myself.
I'm always semi-naked at home. The first thing I do when I get home is that I take off my t-shirt and switch jeans to shorts. It's too damn warm inside.
