i've seen some recent vids from the tour, there's other stuff too
where the wild things are is one of my favs from the load-reload era.
And now it's the only Newsted written song they haven't played live. I hope they change that soon.
Fuck you, Metallica (and Mastodon, a bit), you made my neck hurt.
>:C
let's see if my neck hurts 2 weeks after the show like it did after seeing Megadeth last year
My everything hurt after the Big Four @ Yankee Stadium.
Let's see if it happens again at Orion. Going in a day early with some friends, it's gonna be a night of cards booze and cigars.
covered the Four Horsemen/Mechanix live in our school's music event thingy with a drummer friend; tried to get a bass player but couldn't find one, and also cut out the end solo. we fucked it up pretty bad and my singing sucked because of this nasty flu i've had for two weeks now but damn was it exciting
when i get my hands on the recording i'll be sure to post it here
it sounds like an old garage demo or some shit like that without the bass and all, probably should record a bass track for it
3 weeks left to Orion, I've already got my ticket. This is going to be a very fun summer.
Seeing them on wednesday. Really looking forward to it, especially after seeing them last summer with TB4.
seeing them tomorrow FUCK YEAAAARRGH

Where are you that you saw The Big Four last summer?
I mean I did but I know for a fact it can't be in the US because Orion is their only headlining show in the US this year, and I can't remember where else the Big Four played last summer.
Saw them at soni last year, Dl this year. I'd rather they were playing Kill Em All in it's entiretey, or Master, i don't find the black album that heavy/interesting.

Black Album is their most generally liked album. By new and old fans. That's why it's a great album to make a concert out of.

But RIDE THE LIGHTNING
I do wish the other album was AJFA though, not gonna lie.
I saw them 2 days ago in Sonisphere.
It was sex, it felt like Jesus was there or something, seriously they're awesome, more awesome than I expected.
But this happened after Metallica, I was right there near the truck, but not visible :v:.

In fact, I predicted this would happen once I saw the truck.

vittu vittu

Apparently, the dude who got hit by the truck got up soon after, flipped the truck driver off and walked off.

Also, those who speak shit about Lars are full of shit.
He uses enough double bass to not make it sound like shit and atleast his drum solos are anything else but constant double bass and cymbal raping.
Seriously, I hate that double bass faggotry metal has become these days.
So many Facepunchers at Sonisphere helsinki.. Shame I missed all of em :v:
That Hell and Back riff, so godly.

Were you the fat guy in the vest?
Were you the fat guy in the vest?
Not sure about the fat part.. But I was wearing a denim jacket.. :v:
Gojira was bad, Ghost was ridiculous, Amorphis was boring and then finally Machine Head started kicking dat shit up
i had already used 2/3 of my energy when Tallica started
Resurrecting this thread for a temporary farewell post
I'll be gone for a few days to attend Orion, and will return with pictures and stories. Leaving in 6.5 hours, gotta pack and stuff.
And then they don't play Orion.
And then they don't play Orion.
I already saw it at the Big Four. But they are playing all of Ride The Lightning, including Escape, and more importantly for me, The Call Of Ktulu

Fuck yeah
Never thought it would happen.

Going today and I cant wait!
To be honest Ride The Lightning they played and Fight Fire With Fire sounded really weak, off time, wrong notes etc.

I primarily blame Lars. It was still a goddamn awesome show though. My scalp is peeling from being in the sun so long but it was still totally worth it. I honestly think Saturday was Metallica's best setlist of all time. Period.
Also James and Lars decided to fuck with the crowd when they announced Escape. James asked if there were any other songs they haven't played in a back-and-forth with Lars and then they started jamming The Frayed Ends of Sanity and everyone cheered and chanted along for it...but no they didn't play it
They'll play frayed ends of sanity one day, if they don't... well, I don't know what I'll do, but I'll do something.
I'm calling it now next year will be a Damaged Justice return for the 25th anniversary
I hope to any and all deities that may or may not be that it happens.
