The only album I've heard is Kill 'Em All, although I've heard some songs from others.
Since Kill 'Em All is the only one I own.

And my bloody hammer!

Also, Metallica's best albums; name them, I need more :buddy:
all you really need is kill 'em all, master of puppets, and ride the lightning
maybe ...ajfa
don't get any others, though, they'll just break your heart :(
I hear they're the best. What's Death Magnetic like? I hear it's back to the likes of Kill 'Em All
some people here like it, but i don't
i guess it's a bit of a return to form, but it's nothing like Kill 'Em All, it's still got the hard rockyness
i found a lot of the songs overstayed their welcome, and the production is god awful
I guess it really does just boil down to opinion. I mean, they're far from a bad band. They just produced some albums which weren't as good as the rest.
psoting in a v2 metallicalolz thread
hai
WHO STOLE MY THREAD! DAMMIT I GO AWAY FOR ONE DAY AND IT GETS STOLEN! RATE ME DAMMIT!
But in all seriousness woo! V2
King of Page 2 will have to suffice.

When Kirk was rocking his balls off in the middle of the entire orchestra at the S&M concert, things got a little gay in my eyes.
Sorry man but you gotta keep track of your threads, you never know. But at least you're a king now :slick:

all of them
even st anger has some nice guitar work, though i dont care for the lyrics, drums, vocals, or anything else
Needs more solos.
Kirk does play a solo in live versions of Frantic though.
And other than that? :v:
Seeing as Frantic is the only St. Anger song they've played since 2004, I have no idea how they'd go about playing the the others at concerts now.
Bought Ride the Lightning today. Black and ...And Justice For All were there as well, but Black is apparently not great and I'd heard nothing about And Justice for All. So I went with Ride the Lightning :v:
The Black Album is fine, Radio 1 played it as a landmark album, start to finish, non stop. AJFA is good too.
Out of all 3 I would have said to go for RTL though.

You stole my OP and you don't even have the albums. GOD DAMMIT THIS GETS WORSE EVERY DAY.
All albums by Metallica are decent, general consensus is that the ones to avoid are St.Anger, Load and Reload. (although i like every album, no joke).

justice owns
the songs on black are pretty hit and miss. some are great, others are awful. none of the songs are middle ground. for me at least
just finished watching some kind of monster
Some Kind Of Monster is a very interesting documentary. It shows how fucked things were within the band at that point. Quite frankly, any other band would have weakened and split. They worked out so many things about that time, they even got Dave in to talk about the troubles they had. There was nothing egotistical about any of them when they were with that counsellor. They were all friends.
I need to watch the Death Magnetic documentary some time.
