Unfortunetly, I knew Metallica was bringing out the rest of the Big 4 :(. They posted their setlist beforehand and i looked. I am ashamed
I bet that in that photo they were playing Am I Evil?. It's always been their "let's fuck around" song.
Probably. Since there were so many people they wouldn't notice anyway :v: Also I hope that Metallica do a tour for the 30th anniversary of Kill 'Em All, and play the whole album. Like what they did for the 20th of Master of Puppets.

Oh definitely. That would be so fucking awesome And go back to the harsher vocal style, because I noticed that in the Big Four thing his vocals were still his cleaner style used in later albums.

Big 4 was awesome, Megadeth were the weakest from what i've seen, and the Am I Evil video had poor vocals from Mustaine but, hell, it was THE BIG 4. Can't wait for the DVD!
Ah, right. Well, it would still be fucking awesome. And yeah, Mustaine wasn't very good. Which is disappointing, because Megadeth are probably my favourite of the four.
Revivallllll Aussies, be happy.... http://www.metallica.com/index.asp?item=603243
Wow . . . you guys are nuts and we are nuts about you!! It's still mind boggling to us that 13 shows in Australia sold out in less than an hour! So guess what??? We're coming BAAAACCCK! We spent the last couple of weeks trying to put a schedule together in September that would include yet another visit . . . the third one, the prequel if you will. It works out that on our way to Japan we can do just that, so look for us AGAIN on September 15 in Melbourne at Rod Laver Arena and September 18 in Sydney at Acer Arena.
A bit late.
All the Some Kind of Monster footage with Lars eating he has his mouth open, jeez.
Has anyone ever seen James use a wah-wah pedal before this? I sure as hell haven't... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z57hyZmbE8A

He MIGHT in The Unforgiven, but I don't think he ever actually uses it live, and I don't believe it was used in the original song either. Otherwise Kirk usually gets the lead solos, and we all know how he is with the wah pedal.

They should do some kind of trade-off guitar soloing stuff on their next album. That'd be badass.

Woah that was fucking awesome. What other songs has James done solos in?
Woah that was fucking awesome. What other songs has James done solos in?
"Until the mid-1990s, Hetfield recorded all rhythm tracks and most harmony tracks[citation needed]. Since the recording of Load, Kirk Hammett is recording rhythm guitars as well. James occasionally plays guitar solos, too, such as "Nothing Else Matters", "My Friend of Misery" the outro solo on "The Outlaw Torn", the second solo on "To Live Is to Die", the second solo on "Orion", the first solo on "Suicide and Redemption", and the first interlude solo on "Master of Puppets" and the introduction harmonic solo in "The Day That Never Comes". He also writes the majority of the guitar harmonies, as well as writing the lyrics, vocal melodies, and co-arranging the songs with Ulrich."
By the second solo on Orion, does it mean the harmony solo, or the actual solo at 6:17? That always confused me.
I don't know if its been posted yet, but it needs to be fucking posted here. Metallica - Creeping Death - Seattle '89 This song is fucking savage. Jason's vocals are fucking savage (backup vocals, and at 6:00). Listen to Jason's fucking bassline at 4:00 and 5:00 I was playing this song (this version) in Frets on Fire, and I got so fucking pumped I had to post it. God damn, what I would give to have been at that concert.
Fuck that is a seriously fucking awesome performance holy shit. And Jason's practically fucking growling, that shit is awesome And it's faster than the studio version which is awesome
:monocle:
From the same concert THEY'RE ALL THE SAME FUCKING LEVEL OF AWESOME HOLY FUCK BEST METALLICA PERFORMANCE EVER? VERY LIKELY I've not watched a lot but seriously if they can top that well then they truly are Gods I came Seek & Destroy is probably Metallica's best song ever imo. Seriously, the chorus, you just can't help but want to fucking belt it out loud as you can, so fucking GOOD. Such a good live performance.
Fucking. Yes. [editline]08:54PM[/editline] KIRK HAMSTER ON LEAD GUITAR, AHEueureurureeeuu
HE PLAYED LITTLE WING!!!! That's fucking orgasmic
Kirk is so awesome, he flips you off AS he shreds! (Seriously, in the last posted video, he' flipping everyone off when he strums.)
You've probably noticed that sometimes Kirk will make a few little mistakes during solos, but he always gets The Thing That Should Not Be absolutely perfect. [editline]11:22AM[/editline] Also, there was a video I found a while ago of them playing Of Wolf and Man and The Thing That Should Not Be one after the other. It's from 1992 and I can't find it anymore, could someone post it here if they do? [editline]11:24AM[/editline] Actually, I'm pretty sure it's from 1997, my mistake.
I think it fair to say that Metallica's 1989 performance in Seattle is one of the best concerts in the history of concerts.
I think it's fair to say that if they release a DVD of it, it's one of the best concerts ever... Have you seen Cunning Stunts? Also, I found the Of Wolf and Man part of the video I was looking for. Fuck I wish Jason was still in the band... [editline]12:18PM[/editline] Guys, I've just discovered something awesome... I've decided to get into Metallica for real, starting with Master of Puppets, then Ride the Lightning. [editline]05:56PM[/editline] I've already done AJFA

[editline]05:56PM[/editline] I've already done AJFA
Ride the Lightning and Kill Em' All are their best albums, in my opinion. Though I really like Garage Inc. I'm a bit ashamed to admit that I think it's their best album. And it's all covers.
Definitely agree, Gmod4ever. After those, they lost it. I mean, MoP is good, but not great. Everything apart from those 3 is pretty boring, I think. Can't get into it.
