Dammit why is it that every time someone says that I actually feel the need to change it, I'm no sucker to peer pressure anytime else

Also I would LOVE to see Metallica live. They put on such a good show, they interact with the crowd so much.[/QUOTE]
James's first instrument was drums. He also played bass back in the early days of his own bands like Leather Charm.
Also, their shows are awesome. AWESOME.
I want that kill em all t shirt, where is it dcalde, where?!!?
Lamb Of God opening for Metallica Sydney, one of my mates is jealous, shame that I'm not too into them

Same with me, although they are still good live. Watch out for death walls if your in the pit, can catch you by surprise if your not following the crowd.

Nah, my friend who ordered the tickets I think picked the first balcony area just above the mosh area.
I saw Metallica with Lamb Of God too last summer.

Which date are you going? I'll be there on the 11th of November, although I wish I could go to one of the September shows, The Sword is opening for them on those dates.
I'm pretty sure I'm there on the 13th, though should double check.
Dcalde

Go anyway man, you don't need to be a big fan to have an awesome time at a concert. And Metallica put on an absolutely fantastic show. The performance itself is always brilliant, and they really interact with the crowd.

I would love to go to a Lamb of God show for one song, and one song alone:

I haven't listened to much Metallica in the last couple of months but the new amp that I am getting has a pretty perfect Metallica tone.

That Enter Sandman riff at the end sounds pretty much perfect. Good choice :buddy:

Some guy actually came in the old thread, said he was there, and said it was shitty because the hot dogs were cold.
Honestly, i've never wanted to fucking murder someone so much in my life.

Laid to Rest is good live aswell. Wall of death during Redneck at Sonisphere was awesome though!
Machine Head get the best crowds, and they're the best support for Metallica i feel, The Sword were ok, but i only knew Freya from Guitar Hero II, haha. Maybe The River but they aren't big enough.
That man should fucking die shit ffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu YOU GO FOR THE MUSIC NOT THE FUCKING FOOD :frog:

Its a good start. Are you in tune though? The into sounded half a step out on one string to me, but i could be wrong lol. Keep practising dude, it gets super easy after enough time. I've been playing a year now and i'm so much further than i was (normal guitar btw) But good start :D
Well I'm assuming the guy from the shop who did the pickup swap tuned it too :v:
He tunes quick and by ear so it might be a tad out. I need to grab a tuner at some point.
I've noticed a pattern with Metallica. The first album they make with a new bassist always has production issues.
Kill 'Em All (first album with Cliff): really bad, cheap production, one of the major complaints a lot of people have with the album
And Justice For All (first album with Jason): Inaudible bass
St. Anger (first and only album with Bob Rock): loud as fuck drums, muddy guitars, some clipping
Death Magnetic: (first album with Rob): we all know the story behind this one
I liked Kill 'Em All's production :saddowns:

Sounds like your off beat. Not necessarily a bad thing, but after the intro you seem to fall behind even further.
I've also noticed a pattern with the song numbers.
The 1st song on Ride the Lightning, "Fight Fire with Fire" starts slowly with an acoustic intro, then suddenly it becomes extremely fast paced and thrashy.
Which is pretty much how I'd describe "Battery" and "Blackened" as well.
The 2nd song on Ride the Lightning, which is self-titled, is about how you're being controlled by other people. "Master of Puppets" is about being controlled by drugs, and "Justice for All." is about being controlled by the justice system.
The third song on RTL, "For Whom the Bell Tolls", is not as fast paced as all the others, and has more melody to it. Same story goes with "The Thing that Should Not Be" and "Eye of the Beholder".
And finally, the fourth song on RTL, "Fade to Black" starts acoustic, with an electric intro solo and heavier choruses. Then, in the middle of the song, it changes and becomes a lot heavier, and ends with fast paced solo. Yes, you guessed it, same thing with "Welome Home (Sanitarium)" and "One".
And also, all three albums include a speed-fest song ("Creeping Death", "Disposable Heroes", "Dyers Eve") and an instrumental ("The Call of Khtulu", "Orion" and "To Live is to Die").
They should never have kicked out dave >:(
kill em all has great production values, particularly for an album from 83

I think I was playing too fast after the solo. It was kinda hard to hear the backing track cause I had to have my amp playing over it to record it, I don't have a cabled setup so I have to use a mic. I THINK I managed to get the timing back right at the end :v:

I'm glad they did, if they didn't Megadeth probably wouldn't exist.
