Some advice on staying on beat, tap your foot to the beat, or play the backing track on headphones. I recommend headphones. You can still hear what you're playing albeit you can hear the track better.

Also, I'm just wondering. If Kirk won that card game for the bunk in the bus, that would mean Kirk would have been the one who died, and Cliff would have lived. Kirk must have felt the worst of the whole band when he died, since he'd likely consider himself directly responsible for his death, since if they didn't swap Cliff would have lived.

Kirk would have won the card game over that part of the bus, then Kirk would have died. And then Cliff would still be alive and they would have got a new guitarist instead of a new bassist and Metallica would be completely different I think
And in that alternate universe people would be wondering what it would be like the other way round and all that stuff
I reckon that if Kirk had died, they might have gone back to Dave, on the condition that he got treatment for his drink and drug habits. Dave said himself that if they had told him to go to AA meetings and shit that he would have.

Yeah definitely. I think that's what would have happened, and if that did then they would probably have stayed on their earlier, thrashier style. (first 3 albums)
I think that if Dave would never have left, and Kirk would have stayed in Exodus, the bus accident would never have happened and instead of Megadeth, Exodus would have been a part of the Big Four.
