escape... what the flying fuck
ftfy leper messiah is a good song if you disagree your opinion is wrong
The best song from Master of Puppets is obviously The Thing That Should Not Be... if not, Disposeable Heroes [editline]9th August 2011[/editline]
Yes it is. It's a compilation of all of their covers, but it's awesome enough to count. Anyway, here's my list.
What a surprise, The Pretender picks the shittest song on Ride The Lightning! Woah!
I can understand personal taste but there are so much better songs than the ones he picked.
what the fuck is even the point of those "my favorite songs" lists who gives a flying fuck about what your favorite songs are i mean its okay if it's a blog like Vedi's when blogs are meant to be read by people who care about the writer's opinion, but not like here, or in youtube with all those "my top 10" videos
I can understand personal taste but there are so much better songs than the ones he picked.
Obviously you don't understand personal taste if you're gonna say something like that.
every song on master of puppets is tied for #1 on the album so you might as well pick whichever
Obviously you don't understand personal taste if you're gonna say something like that.
I do, but my opinion there are so much better songs than the ones he picked.
every song on master of puppets is tied for #1 on the album so you might as well pick whichever
Except the title track. Seriously. But hey, that's just my opinion. Not fact, but I dunno why I just am so over the song itself it isn't funny. I haven't given the album a proper listen in a LONG time. [editline]9th August 2011[/editline] Hit The Lights and Phantom Lord = best songs on KEA
I think I actually like some songs on The Black Album :o
how dare u!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Am I gonna be thrown in a river if I admit that Death Magnetic is my favourite album ? Because it is.
How did I create an arguement from choosing my favorite songs? :v:
What a surprise, The Pretender picks the shittest song on Ride The Lightning! Woah!

escape and leper messiah... what the flying fuck
Escape has awesome and influential lyrics. The theme of the song is great. Leper Messiah is an extremely powerful piece, that's why I picked it. Sorry if you guys think the songs are shit. You guys are assholes though.

I'm just joking around and I don't think anyone else here is seriously saying he has a bad opinion. Nope, nobody was serious about it, all the hostility is for fun!
seeing how upset you are getting over said comments is pretty funny, yes, along with the others that were taking this seriously
Am I gonna be thrown in a river if I admit that Death Magnetic is my favourite album ? Because it is.
Get your bathing-suit on, you're heading for a cold swim. But if you really like it, check out the Demo Magnetic album, which surprisingly is the demo version of Death Magnetic. [editline]9th August 2011[/editline] You can just see the originality leaking off them, Demo Magnetic is such a deep and meaningful title.
Now I'm listening to Demo Magnetic and it's good shit. [editline]9th August 2011[/editline] OH GOD, in the AJFA demos, James sings and just says "nananana" over and over again. Laughing my ass of. [editline]9th August 2011[/editline] Wow he does it on the black album too
it's not a valid number.
what do you mean [editline]9th August 2011[/editline]
I think I actually like some songs on The Black Album :o
i like the whole black album
what do you mean
dial the number it'll explain it for you

Am I the only one in this thread who just isn't enamoured with Master of Puppets?
that's how james writes the vocal lines. he'll sing a melody using random syllables + whatever ideas he already has, then go back and fill it in later
Yeah and it's funny as hell to listen to.
all of the first four albums are great on some level. Anyone that doesn't think so doesn't listen to metallica enough
Am I the only one in this thread who just isn't enamoured with Master of Puppets?
Yeah.
Am I the only one in this thread who just isn't enamoured with Master of Puppets?
Nope. tbh Master of Puppets' has a problem that the other 3 80's albums don't. It's the fact that there's little change in terms of style. KEA was Speed Metal, RTL was thrash, Master of Puppets kind oif expanded on that but didn't change a lot, seemed a bit rehashed, and then AJFA was more of a progressive shift. That's just me talking outta my ass though I think that the real problem with MoP is how much it's hailed as their best, then after listening to it a good 50 times you never want to go back to it.
Master of Puppets was 100% more heavy than anything they've done.
