Half a step down is the greatest tuning ever. Ask Timo Tolkki!
i like halfstep the most but i never use it because no one else does besides evile
And Stratovarius. Got really annoying when I got bored of covering th only 4 songs I could play then having to tune all the way back to normal for Metallica covers
i like halfstep the most but i never use it because no one else does besides evile
evile are awesome. shame about Mike Alexander. it'll be interesting to see how a new bassist has affected the new album.
also half step is awesome. it can sound dark or it can sound pretty upbeat, just depends where you play on the neck I guess
St. Anger is in drop C :v:

I feel like its wrong that I had no idea this song existed before tonight.

What's the song at hand?

Shouldn't feel too wrong because nobody cares about it, but then again it is part of Metallica's best album so ya
Guys tell me how do you think the drums at the beginning of enter sandman are played.
I think it's played like this
5= Floor tom
4= Low Tom
3= Low-Mid Tom
B= Bass drum
4/4 (All notes are eight-notes)
5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5
-----3----------3-4
B----B----B----B

Sounds to me like your transcription is correct, but I'm no drum expert

I knew, great, too bad my toms sound like shit so when I play it that way It doesn't even sound close
"Escape" off of Ride the Lightning.
Aka "The song that will never be played live".
Along with Fixxxer, Astronomy, To Live is To Die, Don't Tread On Me, etc...
Sad indeed.
"Escape" off of Ride the Lightning.
If Metallica sold out anywhere in their life this was the song that did it. Escape's purpose was for radio and air time and Cliff hated that.

It's still a good song IMO and it needs to be played at least once live.
if there's any song they never play that needs to be played it's Orion.
There's a difference between "not played often" and "never been played".
By the way, I still agree. More Orion, please.

i think it is a good song, but the weakest on the album. to be honest, the chorus really is what brings it all down

they were kind of forced into it. the lyrics are full of contempt for the situation they were put into, which makes it kind of cool

I would like to hear Orion more often, same with To Live Is To Die. And Escape, at least once because it deserves it.

Who cares about this shit really? I don't get why an band releasing the song title is interesting whatsoever.
Edit : I love metallica, don't get me wrong, but i don't care what a songs called as long as it kicks ass.
