Just before Babylon, the guys did an Escape jam and James started to dance a bit. They should have kept on going.
How did people get tickets for that? Was it an invite only thing?
MetClub members only could buy the tickets. I was gonna buy membership and the fucking tickets, but they sold out in the first week

So Beyond Magnetic is pretty great.
It's funny how people now think St. Anger is okay now that Lulu has been released. Both are truly great though.
^ This But you know, I can see why one wouldn't like both of them. Opinions are opinions after all. As for me, I know I enjoyed both, maybe St.Anger more than Lulu. I still bought both of these records anyway.
Opinions are opinions? No, they're just in denial and have lost all sense of humor. If people realized that James Hetfield actually cares about this as compared to most of their albums in the last 2 decades, then all would be okay. Watch a live performance of Lulu and see the man put his heart into the greatness.
I find it quite interesting how some time ago, you would be preaching about how opinions are subjective, and now you say that they are not.
In this one case with Lulu, people are in denial. :>
What denial, Lou's vocals make me nauseous, and I gave this album multiple tries. Just because you like everything unpopular doesn't mean people are in "denial", if anything it could mean you're pretentious
you're pretentious
another lousy excuse.
"if anything it could mean you're pretentious" Don't take it out of context. I'm not using it as an excuse to anything, I don't need an excuse here
Fair enough. It's not like I'm a hardcore fan of either to be honest.
Does anyone know what kind of cancer did James' parents have.
akz i can't even remember the last time I read a post of yours that made even a little sense
I don't like how all the songs on Death Magnetic are 5 minutes or more. what happened to the good old 3 minute hardcore shit? [editline]13th December 2011[/editline] for the record I did like Death Magnetic as a whole
akz i can't even remember the last time I read a post of yours that made even a little sense
I just can't believe I'm being called pretentious for liking something Metallica made. :-)
Are you implying Metallica used to do 3 minutes hardcore shit ? lol
well clearly not, but some of the shorter songs are fucking awesome.
I just can't believe I'm being called pretentious for liking something Metallica made. :-)
are you serious
yes, that word is owned by the progressive rock thread and there it will stay. :)
I don't think you understand what the word pretentious means.
well clearly not, but some of the shorter songs are fucking awesome.
That, I agree. [SP]Motorbreath anyone ?[/SP]
It's funny how people now think St. Anger is okay now that Lulu has been released. [editline]13th December 2011[/editline]
So Beyond Magnetic is pretty great.
How many songs are on that? Any more besides "Hate Train" and "Just A Bullet Away"?
I don't think you understand what the word pretentious means.
I think of it as self-indulgent. Which is best. [editline]13th December 2011[/editline]
They're both okay, Wouldn't say they're good, but not as bad as people make it out to be. St Anger was pretty much a no effort album just to let off some steam.
Definitely. This one sounds as if they're genuinely enjoying themselves. Though they're fully entitled to their opinion.
learned a lot of Orion. I can only play it with a pick (HERESY), but it's not bad, just needs to be smoother
Orion is such a fun song to play. I have trouble remembering all the parts of it but its still fun.
