I stopped listening to AKz like a month ago and I'm really enjoying it.
Ain't nothing wrong with a pick.
I prefer not to play with a pick any more. I only use them for fast or complicated stuff now, with Orion being the latter
I'm having a bit of trouble learning Orion on guitar. I can play the main riff, but it sound a bit off. Oh well, practice makes perfect I guess.

I stand corrected.
People need to understand that Lulu was an experiment. It worked in some parts, while in others it failed. Though they're fully entitled to their opinion.
It wasn't really an experiment. They were just screwing about and having fun. I like them, they have some really cool riffs and vocal lines. But I think some better transition between clean and distortion could be done. I don't like how it just jumps straight into the heavy riffs.

If you listen to Lulu, you'll start to discover the new sheen of consummate professionalism that gives the songs a big boost.
nice to see some fresh metallica material before the new album
But me and James Hetfield are bros, it's mandatory.
Ahh, so thats why he decided to make Lulu!
What kind of table is he anyways ?
What kind of table is he anyways ?
An Ikea table. A Hätfeld model, to be exact.
Enjoy the whole final concert, ladies !
I'm having a bit of trouble learning Orion on guitar. I can play the main riff, but it sound a bit off. Oh well, practice makes perfect I guess.
So much of Orion is the guitar tone, especially when mixed with the somewhat unusual voicings for chords. That and the bass part. I was reading about Hetfield's tone on that album, it was something like triple distorted somehow, it was like a pedal into a distorted amp, then the recorded signal was fed through another distortion preamp or something ridiculous like that :v:

Thanks to his 99.9999% accurate strumming the many tracks on top of eachoter sound like one, massively distorted guitar track.

I've never really paid attention in the Left Speaker Right Speaker thing. Well at least I didn't until my headphones started screwing up.
I've never really paid attention in the Left Speaker Right Speaker thing. Well at least I didn't until my headphones started screwing up.
Well nearly every metal album has 2 guitars, primarily left and right, then whenever there is a solo or some harmony section they'll add extra. Some albums, like The Black Album has left right and middle. Basically the more guitars going that are split make it sound thicker and richer, if they were all layered in to a single clip it would sound really muddy.
really muddy.
You mean like Justice? :v:
Any problems with Justice is entirely up to the guitar tone and lack of bass. There's still a clearly audible left and right guitar and the sound isn't muddy whether that post was sarcastic or not.
There was a bit of sarcasm there. Oh and the drum sound sucks too.
Certainly, too tinny. The album's sound is definately bad, but it has some sort of appeal to some.
Certainly, too tinny. The album's sound is definately bad, but it has some sort of appeal to some.
On a personal level, James's vocals and the guitar solos from Kirk are my favorite part of Justice, especially the solos on "... And Justice For All" and "Dyers Eve."
I loved the drums on Justice.
^ Probably Lars' best drumming during his career.
