• I'm borderline suicidal on bicycles. Why?

You just feel the need for speed. I get it sometimes.
Learn the fucking rules of the road. I hate it when other cyclists think they're cars - they're not. You can't accelerate as fast, you're small as shit and usually in a blind spot. I also hate cyclists who don't stop for intersections and stop signs; just because you can't accelerate as fast doesn't mean you can't gun it through intersections because you have to keep your momentum. If you're a fixie-riding hipster type though, then go ahead and kill yourself.
You've never seen me on a Mountain Bike. I have raced cars on the flat, i can get to 40kmph within the speed of normal traffic from 0 with no problem. Best part? It's not even difficult.

Get a bmx, then you can awesome pictures like me :) [editline]10:56AM[/editline]
You've never seen me on a Mountain Bike. Oh and by the way, doing that on a mountain bike is still a lot of bullshit. Prove you can do it. Plus if you've ever gone down a really steep hill or come down from a jump you'll know what going from like 10mph to 40mph really feels like.
And what happens when you get to 40kmh? You start blocking the road that's what.
If your in a city, then your dodging traffic at that speed
then this happens:
It's the messenger fault. First of all riders need to be by the side of the road and not in the middle like a car. Plus you can see the messenger just wasn't looking. I can understand why he was upset but it was his fault for being so naive about roads, especially seeing as he was in one of the most busiest roads in the world.

It's adrenaline. Find somthing else that makes you feel like that but is more safety.
And what happens when you get to 40kmh? You start blocking the road that's what.
I'm at the edge of the road, in the cycling path. Jesus. If there's no cycle path, then i'm on the edge of the road as anyone should be, cars can pass me by if they need/want. I'm not weaving allover the road either. Also, Macneil_bmx, i said 40Km/h not mph. 40Mph would be scary...
You haven't hurt yourself bad enough yet

I went down a really massive hill going roughly 40mph, because the bearings were so smooth it was really hard to keep it straight at that speed. Any faster and a bit of wheel wobble and I'd be going over the bars and resurfacing my face with tarmac. More Pics :)
Doesn't the fact that you could kill or seriously injure someone by being such an idiot worry you? Do it somewhere where the only person who could get hurt is yourself.
Start smoking weed instead.
What kind of idiot pays to get high of a plant when you can just go outside and do cool and interesting shit?
you're an idiot for doing these things and i hope you get seriously injured so as to learn your lesson.
You just said that to get agrees.
So you just don't care if you die, do you?
/GLaDOS voice You remind me of me.
So you just don't care if you die, do you?
Yeah but technically you could die every day.
You just said that to get agrees.
It's not as if they count towards anything...
I thought this was a thread about how bicycles made you want to kill yourself....:frown:
Yeah but technically you could die every day.
Exactly. So why not increase your chances dramatically by doing stupid things?
Darwinism at it's finest?
I don't care that this guy has a deathwish, but I think it's rude to do this to the drivers. If one of them does hit and kill him, then they have his blood on their hands. These kind of things can lead to months/years of therapy simply because one teen wants his adrenaline rush. You'de be better off taking up some hard drugs or something.
Well you have a good taste in music, and biking.
haha OP's so full of himself. i hope you guys realize that the OP really likes it when you say stuff like, "Omg your gonna die/you should be a bmx rider/ etc etc."
Yeah but technically you could die every day.
Dumb ass comment.
I don't care that this guy has a deathwish, but I think it's rude to do this to the drivers. If one of them does hit and kill him, then they have his blood on their hands. It makes him a fucking asshole for endangering other people and their lives just for a fucking rush! Not to mention he risks his life KNOWING what kind of an effect it would have on his family and loved ones and keeps doing it. Find another hobby, you prick.
I ride MTB street. I managed to break my frame from doing a 2m to flat dropoff.
You should do what I did, I went to colorado and rode around on the skiing slopes. You think cutting off cars is dangerous, go down a double black diamond when there's no snow and rocks poking out of the ground. make sure you have 24x slime in your tires otherwise you'll pop a tire easily.
WOW you got all but 1 rating!
I love cycling. It's a big hobby of mine. However, a large part of the reason why I find it so entertaining is because of the sheer stupidity of the shit I do when riding around in the city. A helmet is a foreign concept to me, despite my dangerous antics. During a massive monthly festival in the downtown area of my city, I bike down with a mate of mine, without helmets or lights, and ride around as fast as I can, cutting off cars, motorcycles, and pedestrians. We have two rules: go as fast as you fucking can, and don't stop no matter what. When crossing large intersections, with Led Zeppelin or Jimi Hendrix blasting at full volume in my headphones, I frequently close my eyes and unhook my feet from my toe cages, and pray that the cars flying past me at thirty or forty mph don't pummel the shit out of me. I've had cars hit the back tip of my tire when flying in front of them, I've come within a foot of oncoming traffic, and I've hit pot holes knocking me off my bike when hitting 30 or 35 mph with cars within arm's reach of me. I'm not suicidal. I'm at least reasonably content with my life, enough so that I don't want to die yet. I'm fully aware of the repercussions my death would have on others, as well as the repercussions to myself if I was seriously injured. Yet I can't seem to bring myself to care about what happens if my astounding luck runs out. Furthermore, I don't understand why I enjoy doing such stupid shit. Do most people's idea of fun push the border of suicide, or am I the only one?
You're a fucking smacktard who wants an adrenaline rush. If you want that and you want to feel death and actually get close to it every day, go become a green beret, you're fucking thick if you think that when you do something so idiotically annoying. Don't be surprised when one day a driver doesn't slam on the brakes to save your ass and you end up mangled under two and a half tons of steel.
You think your crazy, I do all the shit you do with a motorbike...
