Fun fact: Gabe knows how to do this shit.
I can do everything except for the fingerpass and it pisses me off because thats the most interesting trick imo
i did the sonic and im quite sure ill learn the thumb around soon. Finally!
Darn it, I learnt to do the thumbaround almost perfectly last night and now I've woken up and can't do it. Rage.
Did the thumbaround in 2 minutes and barely caught it. I'm having trouble not slipping and letting the pen slide out but I guess I'm doing pretty good for first couple of trys. Edit: Nevermind. Just pulled off a fluent Thumbaround.

I've been practicing this for about 8 hours now and I can nearly do the thumbaround every try.

In high school, there was a guy in my class who kept doing most insane tricks with his pen every time he was thinking about math or physics. He didn't even look at the pen. I got mesmerized by it multiple times. Now that I've seen the trick-videos, he mostly kept doing Double Charge.
Every time. EVERY time I try to do a thumbaround, I end up spinning it way too fast and it flies across the room. My back hurts from picking it up constantly.
My classmate back in secondary school did this very well, I used to make him do it just so I could watch.
I didn't learn how to Pen spin during class but hell i can doodle like Picasso when i am bored.
Darn, about half an hour ago I could do a thumbaround every 2 out of 5 attempts. Now I can't do one. Ragequit.
I'm pretty good at this, I actually made the last thread on it a few months ago but it died out pretty quickly.
Anyone else here prefer to use a Bic pen for this? I do because my fingers are a tad fat.. [editline]3rd July 2011[/editline] Fun fact - Bic pens were going to be called Bich pens, but changed it in case people mis-pronounced it as bitch
I'm gonna get a hold of a few Bic pens to do the BICtory mod since all the pens and pencils in my house suck. Also, Informative post, didn't know that.
I never could master pen spinning, so I went on to the art of flipping a balisong. I want to do both. I think the reason I learned faster with a balisong is because the penalty for failure was a little higher. I never dulled my balisong, in fact I sharpened it...
I spin my penis.
I spin my penis.
Who are you, the descendant of meatspin? :v:
Who are you, the descendant of meatspin? :v:
Yes babe.
I can only spin a pen around my thumb and back. There's a girl in my school who can spin pens better and I feel intimidated.
Getting the hang of thumbarounds again.
It's funny because it doesn't seem physically possible for me to make the peace sign with my hand without gripping down my two smaller fingers using my thumb. I failed on the first video.
Keep trying, you'll do it. [editline]4th July 2011[/editline] For beginners attempting the thumbaround: If you can't seem to get the pen to spin around your thumb, try moving your thumb up when you grip the pen, this allows more space for the pen to spin on. I just tried this and I can now do a TA easily. TA - 2 days to learn. FP - Learning

I just don't really know where to start, and the penalty for error in starting wrong seems kind of high, so I'm a little tentative.. Any suggestions? You seem like you're great.
OP need more content, mainly pics. Maybe add some mods and descriptions?
I once wanted to start practicing pen spinning, but because I didn't have good enough pen for beginner or anything, I even couldn't do thumbaround. I failed horribly. This thread makes me want to actually learn it.
So I had a French test today. After I had finished I attempted to do the thumbaround. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. Dropping it 95% of the time. Until suddenly this girl that was sitting to the back right of me says "SAM STOP THAT THATS ANNOYING" And I told her to dealwithit. and I finally managed to get it right! :v:

We're like, linked bro. During French I was doing thumbarounds for fun and this girl wouldn't stop yelling at me. I kept going though, of course. No bitches getting in the way of my spinning. :v:
I pen spin a lot in school but every now and then it just flies across the room and I sit there looking at my fingers while people wonder how the pen managed to get that much speed.
Fingerpass
First time I did that and the pen flew off and hit my sister in the eye. She bitched for 10 minutes.
