Guys I will share my plan.
i'm going to medical school, but you can apply this to whatever.
Get degree, buy shit house cheap
Get contact overseas, pay someone to renovate your house, make money overseas, come back to aus in 8 months or when the contract ends.
Wait until you have owned the house for at least a year
Sell house
Repeat
Wow, you got your life planned. It's so easy to do things like that! [/sarcasm]

Yeah if you think life is that simple then I highly doubt you're going to end up in medical school or close.
No, most voted independent and liberal, then the independents fucked up
Uhh what? Labor and Greens got 49.75% of the FP, and Liberals / Nationals / Independents got 45.83% of the FP.
No, most voted independent and liberal, then the independents fucked up
the independents didn't fuck up, liberals didn't even have their costings done and when they seemingly released them with shit like assuming that different projects would be cheaper just because they were in power they put their hands up and said these are just made up costings for fun!!! It shows they are completely irresponsible and unfit to run an economy or had such bad plans that they hid the real ones.

The minimum I think (from memory) is just a little bit over that now.
$15.50/h
No more expensive than in Norway.

This.
You have to take shit like this into consideration.
walk into any EB games at the moment and COD4 will be on the shelf PREOWNED for $100. Yeah thats a real kick in the crotch for everyone.
It's mainly because the Australian Dollar is massively overvalued at the moment. It should be around 0.80 us cents.

no it isn't because a: don't buy that game b: don't buy from eb games

This means nothing, because in the medium term, the exchange has remained around 90 US cents.
Also .8 of a cent, lols
1 dollar coins? Never heard of.
It's an economic fact, something about the gross domestic product, which is aproximately 850.000 billion in Australia, and 14.256 trillion in the United States.
The thing that confuses me is that they both have similar income per capita, something between 45.000 and 46.000.
There also must be higher local law taxes.
The US population is 310 million people, Australia is 22.5 million people.
That's why the income per capita are similar.
You think you guys have it bad?
In Portugal, we have a huge percentage of unemployed people. Taxes go up every year at least once or twice and now the stuff you need the most is even more expensive then it was before. Prices here rose TWICE in a matter of months, and don't even think about taking the highways.
Our PM first said NO to "pay-2-drive" highways during his campaign 5 years ago.
5 years later, hes the one announcing that the country is gonna get filled with that bullshit. All that while he buys his brand new Mercedes...
FUCKING HIPOCRITS!
Not to mention the wine taxes will stay at something like 7% while milk derived products will get it increased to 23%
New released, over hyped games are $120 in Australia. ^_^ I order all my games from the US. It is cheaper to order ones the same price that people in the US pay + postage.
I bought my 4870 for like $440aud....
Not necessarily. I've heard that even online, STEAM Games are more expensive in Australia. Why? I'm not quite sure. It's definitely an interesting subject, and anyone who can provide citations with actual verified information on why games cost more over there, please enlighten us.
Australian servers need the data first. Tax still applies.
Australian servers need the data first. Tax still applies.
The data doesn't matter, because the data can come from overseas. Also tax does not apply on Steam purchased games for Australians.
Is Fallout: New Vegas $90USD on steam for you guys in the US?
I don't buy from steam, but if they're getting cheaper prices, couldn't you just VPN via a US server, login to steam & get US prices? or is it not as simple as that
That's what some Australians did to get L4D2 uncensored, I've heard. Still not sure whether it's a perfect method, though - I'm sure if it was, most/everybody would do it.
uuh ur wrong. they dont cost 90 bucks after a month...u just gotta look. not hard
Black ops in store is $110
Black ops in store is $110
You can get it as low as $90 is some stores, which is cheap for a new game now.

Why? Because you don't want others to have opinions? Get out.
