That picture, isn't mine. I will change it to the photo's of the spider I caught in a while. Sorry, it's late and I dont feel like uploading any.
But...
That is exactly what it looks like. The Female Writing Spider.
It is about 3 inches long, the abdomen is about an inch itself. Did you know it can make an egg sack of baby spiders, literally the size of an egg?
The size of this spider is about 1/2 of a black widow. Biggest spider I have ever seen,
What are your thoughts on this spider?
Wow, I'm a nerd.
Black widows are the size of a dime...
They will call you a shit-bitch
Also, the spiders that my sister works with:

Sorry for the shit quality, I took it with my old shitty phone about a year ago.
Damn, any idea what kind it is?
We found an orb weaver on the ladder to get into our pool a day or two ago, nasty looking spiders but they do construct awesome webs. Other than that we don't get a ton of interesting spiders up here.
Spiders are tasty too.
Actually, no. I was suprised.
But, one myth is: If it writes your name in it's web you are certian to die soon.
Yeah I think it's some kind of orb spider, there's about 30 of them in this basement room in the insect section of the museum. They just let them live all over the room, it's pretty scary to walk in, but they're crazy huge.
Haha, amazing. But having one of those in your home is just :frown:.
You could say they're the engineers of the spider world
Fly Sappin' Mah Web?
I believe they're not "afraid" (even if they said so) I think what most meant is that it's creepy... And people get weird feelings when looking at those creepy pictures, because they imagine one of those near them
Yeah, this is what I meant. Anyways, I have one of those next to my stairs. A male and female built webs next to each other. I accidentally knocked the male's web down while trying to pictures and a closer look. :frown:
Hopefully I'll find out where he moved to before his time's up. How long do they usually this.
Wish I'd have taken some pictures of the wolf spiders around here, especially in my room...
In the backyard they get close to tarantula size and while in my room I've had a wolf spider roughly the size of a half dollar climb up on my leg. Such wonderful creatures.

Why did i lol?
We call the pictured spider a "garden spider" where I live.
They're everywhere, huge, and non-poisonous. I just leave them alone.
holy shit, I don't get why you guys take pictures of spiders. when I see a spider I kill it. they're scary.

Pussy. Seriously, why are half of fp just little bitches when it comes to spiders? They can't fuck you up if you leave them where they are, they won't crawl on you when you sleep, they're fucking scared of you.
What's so scary about a fucking photo.
Yes that would be quite uncomfortable if you saw it running around your house.
but it's just a photo, get over it you wussies.
Argeed.

yes i'm such a pussy because I dislike spiders
they're not necessarily scary imo, I just don't like them, i've been bitten before, don't like it. and it's kind of weird to find them on you, is it not? especially when you don't know what kind it is.

Actually, on average a human eats 8 spiders in a lifetime while sleeping.
How?
We keep our mouths open, even when we don't realize it, while we sleep. Spiders like moist, dark places sometimes. They wander, and they crawl inside.
I know that this probably won't help the cause of getting people over their paranoia of spiders however those wolf spiders I talked about for one reason or another aren't too shy of me, it's not uncommon for a some of them to land on my head (No clue how) and the big ones tend to crawl over my feet at night.
(Note these aren't pets, they just inhabit my room and I try and coexist with em.)
Wonderful spider. We have a species that's actually called the "giant house spider" here... they're the size of a tennis ball, but fairly plain looking. This has got really nice markings, where did you find it?

yeh I was thinking that too.
We get those things all the time where I live, they're not dangerous or anything, just try not to let it bite you, it itches like any other spider bite. I like the black and yellow ones the best but there are similar ones that are black and white and striped like a zebra, and black and red and striped the same way as the one pictured. Did you find this in long grass? That's where I see them by me.

I think he meant to say that it's twice the size of a black widow
Black widows in Southern California can be the size of a half-dollar
Jesus I wish we had stuff like that around here

I made a mistake before. Actually, this is about 3x the times of a black widow.

I found it on the edge of my house. It is keen to tall plants, large flowers, and damp-ish areas, hints that's where I found him in my garden.
