Garry has no flagdog/user agent info apparently
Mine isn't right, but then again no-one ever gets it right. I just like the little flag. Wait, why don't you have one, Garry?
He just has a user follow him round telling everyone where he is. Walsall, United Kingdom.
also the icons match even less now pls find a new icon pack
Flagdog seems to think I still live in Singapore.
Now I can more easily insult people based entirely on where they're from! Edit: Ew, I'm not in Kansas.
Well mine seems to be about 25 miles off, so that's lucky.
It's where your IP is registered - it's not going to be 100% accurate. Or even 10% accurate.
What about geolocation via HTML5? Or do you need something that will be pretty much enforced all the time?
Seeing a User from Best Korea would be the greatest thing ever.
:tinfoil:
Yeah, I'm fine with people knowing what country I'm from. Maybe even which state. But which city? Even if it's wrong by a number of miles? That's got me a little unnerved
It's not that accurate, it's off by 300 miles for me.
Yay flags are back.
Mine is spot on must find more leeds fuckers
It's not that accurate, it's off by 300 miles for me.
YOU ARE CLOSE ENOUGH
I AM REBORN!
What I'm wondering is why the flag and OS icons have hover text but not the browser ones?
It's where your IP is registered - it's not going to be 100% accurate. Or even 10% accurate.
I assumed as much. May I suggest either letting us fill out the specifics ourselves or at least adding "ISP:" before it?
was my first post with a proxy? I don't recall that
It's where your IP is registered - it's not going to be 100% accurate. Or even 10% accurate.
Doesn't explain why mine says India though? on any other site it says Sheffield, UK
Now I can more easily insult people based entirely on where they're from! Edit: Ew, I'm in Kansas.
Do you mean to say you're not really in Kansas anymore, Mad Chatter?
whats the H2 mean
It's where your IP is registered - it's not going to be 100% accurate. Or even 10% accurate.
but my IP can't possibly be a Singaporean one. You sure it doesn't use really old IPs? like the IP used for the very first post?
I don't really feel comfortable with my flag showing my city and state, too. Is there any way to disable this feature?
yeah tbh i'm not a big fan of the cities showing i'd go with country and state/province (if applicable)
Oh no, now everybody will know I am Canadian!
And from Manatoba, ew
Does it work right? 350km off
My IP comes up as from New York half the time, let's see how well it does.
The old flagdog was right, now this one says russia, even though i looked online and all of the services say my IP is england.
Benson, AZ eh? That's where my grandmother lives. Weird. Coincidentally where I was staying while posting on Facepunch around the time I registered.
Wait holy shit you are right I just like looked at them in the last thread I was browsing like they were always there now I saw this thread and though "wait what the fuck" Probably because we once had flagdog already [editline]10th May 2013[/editline] where the fuck is kokoszkowy though
There should be a way to disable the flags for your posts because some people would prefer to have people not know where they live.
This is pretty neat, but I agree that going with city might be a little too far
whats the H2 mean
UK Postcode area I think
Cool beans, then. [editline]10th May 2013[/editline] Accurate for me , at least.
