Let me clarify. This thread is for albums people love, but most try to forget the artist released it.
Hidden bonus track from St. Anger, further proving why people want to forget its existance
It is often considered a poor maiden album, but I like it.
It is often considered a poor maiden album
By whom?
[img_thumb]http://images.uulyrics.com/cover/i/iron-maiden/album-a-matter-of-life-and-death.jpg[/img_thumb] It is often considered a poor maiden album, but I like it.
Oh really? I thought it was a very good album, I haven't heard anyone say otherwise..
Oh really? I thought it was a very good album, I haven't heard anyone say otherwise..
Everyone who I asked said it was a bad album by Maiden. Obviously I've been talking to the wrong people then.
Everyone who I asked said it was a bad album by Maiden. Obviously I've been talking to the wrong people then.
I admit that there are some quite "meh" songs. But it also had some fucking awesome songs, like The Legacy, The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg and These Colours Don't Run.
Anything other than St. Anger do people want to disagree with in my OP? Or just that...
[img_thumb]http://images.uulyrics.com/cover/i/iron-maiden/album-a-matter-of-life-and-death.jpg[/img_thumb] It is often considered a poor maiden album, but I like it.
New Maiden is best Maiden imo
New Maiden is best Maiden imo
I prefer the oldies, I still enjoy New Maiden but the classics like Number of the Beast and Powerslave have a place in my heart.
Prince - 20ten It was released for free and people hated it. To be honest there are some nice grooves and it is worth a listen. I had low expectations and I enjoyed it. That is all that matters. See? Not bad at all.
I prefer the oldies, I still enjoy New Maiden but the classics like Number of the Beast and Powerslave have a place in my heart.
Number of the Beast is a great album yeah. Powerslave I never really enjoyed a whole lot honestly. I think Brave New World and A Matter of Life and Death are their best.
Rolling Stones - Dirty Work Everyone hated it apart from a few, but I think it is a superb album. Seems the 80s got to them, but it is unforgettable to be honest. [editline]16th January 2011[/editline]
Oh god [img_thumb]http://mossipblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/kanye808sheartbreak.png[/img_thumb]
Most liked the album. Only a minority hated 808s and Heartbreak for its use of autotune. How can you hate autotune irrationally? This has taken the technology and used it well.
I'm not sure if this is exactly what this thread is about, but I'm gonna say "Human After All" by Daft Punk. [img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/0d/Humanafterall.jpg[/img_thumb]
It's my favorite album from Daft Punk :saddowns:
Why are you recommending them if you hate them?
Missed the point/I know people who like the albums a lot.
It's boring, and has very little substance. Shouldn't have been recorded
[img_thumb]http://culturepopped.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/american_idiot.jpg[/img_thumb] Don't see why people shunned this album, it was a concept album made after the masters for the tracks to Cigarretes and Valentines was stolen, so they decided to create something new. It brought on imagery of the mind and told a story. Most people look at it as a politically driven album, I see it as the life of the Jesus of Suburbia.
The album is decent, but it's got nothing on albums like Kerplunk or Dookie. :colbert:
[img_thumb]http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61BOd25F2gL._SL500_AA300_.jpg[/img_thumb] It's boring, and has very little substance. Shouldn't have been recorded
Half the songs have the word "Rock" in them :v: but it went number 1 virtually everywhere.
Weird album
Half the songs have the word "Rock" in them :v: but it went number 1 virtually everywhere.
I bought it, I wish I hadn't but at least I saw them when they toured on the back of it, it was the last time I'd ever be able to see them
Pablo Honey, but I'm pretty sure most Radiohead fans have.
pablo what
who's pablo honey and what does that have to do with radiohead
[img_thumb]http://atomiccd.files.wordpress.com/2010/07/the-soft-parade.jpg[/img_thumb] Weird album
That album is fucking awesome. I would've recommended it but it looks like you don't like it :frog:
It's my least favourite Doors album, but it rules anyway edit: apart from the post-Jim ones natch
It's my least favourite Doors album, but it rules anyway edit: apart from the post-Jim ones natch
I prefer it to Waiting for the Sun... I also think the post-Jim Doors are pretty underrated for what it is. Not bad at all. So yeah... This deserves a place in this thread. I enjoyed this album a lot, despite no Jim Morrison it is still very much a "Doors" album.
