That's just sad.
It's even older then that.
How can it be older than that? Jesus was born in like, 32 BC or something, right? And doesn't it list his whole life? How can a book tell the future?
How can it be older than that? Jesus was born in like, 32 BC or something, right? And doesn't it list his whole life? How can a book tell the future?
god told them duh :downs: see sometimes people think that oh religion is great and whatever, and im sure when its a personal thing/belief it is, but this kind of shit happens. most people think the bad religious shit only happens in the middle east and that it doesn't affect them else where, but again, this kind of shit. 13,000 for what exactly? nothing. this is disgusting, especially considering the OP's financial/educational situation because of it.
First of all, showing your dad will cause unneeded drama. Let this be an issue between you and your mom. This is your MOM'S paycheck, not your dad's, so don't involve your father. I can understand your concern about finances, but aside from talking to her about this and discussing the chance of her stopping the tithing till the situation is better, you really can't do anything. Secondly, this is a common practice, and pretty much all dedicated church goers do it. I think its stupid (personally), but this really isn't your concern. You aren't working for this money, it is NOT your business deciding how she spends her cash or even nosing around her bank account in the first place. By all means talk to her about it, but don't go in with the attitude that this should be something you have a say in when you aren't the one earning the money.

Your mom only makes $18,000 a year? :saddowns:
How can it be older than that? Jesus was born in like, 32 BC or something, right? And doesn't it list his whole life? How can a book tell the future?
The bible says that Jesus was born before 4 BCE and after 6 AD, but that's getting off topic from this thread.
The bible says that Jesus was born before 4 BCE and after 6 AD, but that's getting off topic from this thread.
ive heard christians claiming that the numbers in the bible also are inspecific, (gods 7 days, 666, etc) so maybe that's also complete and total disregard-able bullshit :v:

Your mom is a dipshit, but this is going to tear your family apart and you'll be in guilt for the rest of your life for splitting your parents up.
Bribe for video games, Share some with your fellow Facepunch
Wow, thats.... dumb. You are giving your hard earned money to some faggots who think there is a god. Kill her... NOW
Whether if you like it or not, it's your mother's money, She should be able to do whatever she wants with it without your consent. Whether you're spiritual or not, the bible gives the definition of tithing. You aren't necessarily giving to the church per se, you're giving the money to god. The church is just a sort of gateway if you will. If the church has the funds to keep it self in proper order, then they'll have no problem tending to the community. While I may be rambling on about 'divine intervention', but I've seen cases where people give the rest of what they have by tithing, and then later ending up very successful by unprobable circumstances. But believe what you will.

for every dallor she gives to the church they will use it to pay off people so the priests dont go to jail for molestation, so they can brainwash kids, so the pope can buy whatever he wants, so starving kids in africa can get bibles ( but they not condoms) and so science can be can be held back. also $13,247 is more then my mom gets in a whole month so tell your mom do do something good with that money like giving it to a science foundation or giving it to me
Your mother is a fucking moron.

P.S, God doesn't touch this money, it is handled by men. It tends to end up in good hands, but that doesn't mean exorbitant middle men prices and corrupt foreign governments don't get in the way.

That's just the total she's given.
If she wishes to donate her money, then let her do it. But if it's her husbands money, then she has no right to do it without her husbands consent.
Ok, my brother called me and told me that they got home, expect him to be back in about 10-15 minutes.
Your mom only makes $18,000 a year? :saddowns:
Hence the financial trouble.
You confront her about this, and you are likely to lose your ability to check your account. She'll probably change your password. This is her way of making herself feel better about her self, let her do it. If it becomes crazy enough where she has a job just to do this, then it's too much.
yea but if i spent my families money on hookers i would be a nad person even though they both make me feel good
fuck u mom do u know hwo many xbox games i could have bought??? fuck
Damn that's a lot of money to go to a church

Wait she only makes $18,000 a year? She's not a dipshit per say as she is contributing the money to a cause she thinks is good, but she should be prioritizing it toward her own family. You should really talk to your parents as raise your concerns. Suggest a different charity and/or less given
She gives 200 dollars a month, not 13,000. It's her money, she can do what she wants with it, also I'm pretty sure she's going to be pissed off with you snooping through her stuff.
