like helping the homeless
or how about she decides how she spends her paycheck
Well, atleast it's not like this one book in which tithing also meant giving 1 tenth of your child, but they couldn't do it, so they just sent the whole kid to be sent to this factory or something. I forgot the name, but it was pretty cool. Also, I'd say convert to communism, but it's not cool anymore.
or how about she decides how she spends her paycheck
you mean his husbands paycheck?
oh my goddddddddddd
How do you stress a D The only way I can see this working is if you said it "Oh my gaw-duh-duh-duh-duh-duh-duh-duh-duh-duh-duh"
you mean his husbands paycheck?

So, this morning I was getting a check from my moms checkbook.

you mean his husbands paycheck?
Please learn to read.
Churches do need money to support themselves and pay for the clergy who dedicate their lives to the service of others. And I don't know how all churches work, but I know mine gives thousands a month to those who can't make ends meet. No matter if you're a member, or even religious. And most churches fund tons of charities and are their main supporters. She doesn't have to give as much as she does, but don't discredit the church.
Give the money to Oxfam :v:
There are alot of angry athiests here How come I never heard of you and how come you have a big-ass avatar /offtopic
I'd say Firerain is probably one of the most well known FP'ers, one side hates him, the other side loves him. He seems to be reverse trolling, pissing people off because he is acting ...... normal? It's great that he is back. Also, I'd say as long as the church is using it for good, than donating isn't a bad thing. It's not like other "non-profit" organizations where 20 people get paid their cut (I'd assume only a priest gets paid) and a small portion actually gets through.
i bet the husband also makes money so i dont think he would like his wife spending it on stupid stuff also having a paychech doesnt mean you are the one working
i bet the husband also makes money so i dont think he would like his wife spending it on stupid stuff
what are you trying to prove
NOBODY is reading the whole thread, or noticing how we mentioned that we are having a serious financial problem.
NOBODY is reading the whole thread, or noticing how we mentioned that we are having a serious financial problem.
cut the internet, stop buying stupid stuff, bring it up it didn't need the thread
lmao americans
Lmao Europeans. Most likely a Brit. Edit: Voted no without reading the OP completely. Scratch one vote off of "No" and add it to "Yes, show her" Also, why the hell would anyone in their right mind blackmail their parent(s) for video games when their family already is in financial debt?
So much of me says that it is okay, but the other half says that she should be using some of that money towards your financial problems. Honestly, if I were in this situation, I would cut the giving money down, and work in food band twice a week.
what are you trying to prove
that the mom could be doing better with her money by spending it on a better charity or anything else
that the mom could be doing better with her money by spending it on a better charity or anything else
it's a charity i don't see how it matters
your mom is a dipshit
it's a charity i don't see how it matters
church spends most of its money on spreading its meme
it's a charity i don't see how it matters
Her continuously spending large amounts of money that gives no benefit to her family and her children's education while in a financial crisis matters. She needs to prioritize what's more important around her and her family with her current situation.
What a bitch! So she gives $13k to the fucking church instead of putting it towards her own childrens' education? For shame.
Garry forgot to log back into his regular account before he started posting again
people still think Firerain is garry?
Donations are tax deductible... So she probably gets most of that money back from the government if she does her taxes correctly.
I think people need to read the thread a little more clearly. It is the OP's business to care what she does with her money, since she's practically burning 200 bucks a month while they are in a financial crisis.

i see firerains point. i mean op doesnt need a college fund anyway. they should instead cancel their internet which is probably about 30$ a month vs 200$ a month. clearly its making a more substantial impact while not providing nearly as much for the money.
No, because as long as her husband is fine with it, nothing is wrong. If it makes her happy, there's really no problem. Also, in one of my schools, they actually gave a significant tuition discount if you gave the 10% to the Church.
