now they have two levels to level though, paragon and the main level.
You don't earn paragon until 60, and it was added because people bitched hard that there was no level 100 cap to grind for, because honestly it is easy to hit 60 after your first character. You can easily level a character to 60 in about a day or so.
Progression in an ARPG, say it isn't so! People cried and cried not being able to add attribute points, so they add it into the paragon system, now people cry that it will make the game too easy and be gamebreaking. Now people are crying about a level cap increase when they knew it would come in an expansion, they even said they'd do level cap increases years ago and people act like its never been done before. And to the people who cried about not being to grind away forever, well new paragon system has no cap at all. So this means you could have 100 paragon points to spend, 200, 300 or 1200. You can use these points for attribute points, offensive points, defensive, class or utility.
All those features are awesome, I love them, that's great. It still doesn't hold a candle to it's predecessors and this is coming from someone who beat Diablo 3 but has yet to finish 1 or 2.
Man.. The cinematics are always 100x more interesting than anything the game offers up.
Calling it timed console exclusive.
Why didn't they get some better guards those guys just stood there and let that dude cut their heads off. Not impressed D- see me after you get your soul back
imagine a blizzard game without someone being corrupted
wouldn't be a blizz game
As someone who spent years playing a Paladin in Diablo 2, I'm welcoming the Crusader with open arms. Looks fun as hell.
I feel like the hate for Diablo 3 has grown to bandwagon hate proportions. Launch was pretty shit and it was very lacking, but honestly game isn't half bad now and it looks like the 1.0.9 Item patch is going to be rolled into one massive 2.0 patch. For those of you who whined "Oh noes, we can't distribute attribute points" Well they're adding that in for the new paragon system and its account wide. So Like for my friend who has 3 Paragon level 100 classes, he'd have 300 points to distribute over Stats and other things, The closet thing the new paragon system resembles is Merit points from FFXI Online.
Balance and mechanics didn't mean shit when the entire atmosphere of Diablo disappeared under game mechanics and pretty loot
imagine a blizzard game without someone being corrupted
thats like saying lets make a diablo game, but lets just remove diablo from the game [editline]22nd August 2013[/editline] blizz movie when

Oh man I'm so looking forward to this. I fuckin loved Diablo 3 despite all the shit people love to throw at it. In my eyes its such a well polished game and everything fits together nicely. And to the Diablo 2 fanboys, Diablo 2 wasn't the perfect game you make it to be. Yes I enjoyed it, but it suffered from awful lag, imbalance, and cookie cutter builds than ruined the diversity. No game can be perfect, and neither is Diablo 3, but is it really THAT bad?

It's just that, in my mind, they could have gone down a better route than what they did. Some features feel half assed. Others feel like they don't belong. And the grind isn't enjoyable. Diablo is all about grinding for the best loot. But when 99.99% of the loot is all crap it's just not fun.
Diablo isn't spooky anymore. Also the game design is shit in Diablo 3.

I mean, compare cinematics(I would say in-game stuff, but that's been complained about enough). Right off the bat in the intro cinematic of D2, you're hit in the face with crazy gore and violence to give that true sense of darkness around the game. Made you legitimately realize how powerful those characters were. In D3, everything's toned down immensely, relying on spoken word "look at my immense power" rather than the actual action itself. It gives no grounds to feel like you're facing a powerful entity, and, as I said earlier, makes it feel like more of a streamline "epic movie" theme. Not once did I have anything remote to a feeling towards anyone, because it all felt too corny on the script. Maybe it's just me, I don't know.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, diablo 3 will not be worth money in my eyes until they add the same game types as diablo 2 (single player/direct at least)
They'll add proper offline singleplayer In the PS3/PS4 port. (no, this isn't a joke)
"Lets hide it in a tomb. That always works, right guys?"
Just think about what it'd be like if real life worked this way Banks wouldn't use vaults, they'd use a big pedestal in the middle of the room with a giant pot of money on top of it
They'll add proper offline singleplayer In the PS3/PS4 port. (no, this isn't a joke)
Heard about that but I don't have a PS3 or PS4 and I don't really plan on getting one. Diablo's not really the kind of game I'd want to play on a console anyway, those changes should be moved to the PC as well.
I wouldn't mind having this on the console. Then I could play with my friends who don't know what they're missing in terms of PC gaming. They're all console scrubs... Problem is, I want it for the Xbox not the Playstation but the Playstation seems to be getting all the attention in terms of development and bonus features (exclusive items). I don't know if I want to by a second PS3 controller for Diablo 3 when I already have 2 controllers for my X360.
I find it funny people are jumping in, not reading the announcement post. They are adding non-story game modes to level up in, like loot run.
I find it funny people are jumping in, not reading the announcement post. I've seen people complain about how D3 wasn't randomized and they've announced RoS will be randomized (randomized titlesets) and have multiple paths to the same objective, instead of the linear path D3 vanilla had, as well as getting rid of the constant deadends that plagued D3.
Diablo isn't spooky anymore. Also the game design is shit in Diablo 3.
I don't ever recall Diablo being spooky
Diablo 2 was fun Diablo 3 was tedious
Diablo 3 had fun gameplay, its biggest problem was the piss poor writing. Every single villain in it declared their plans and intentions at you every step of the way, even Hell's supposed greatest general tells you his every move. I felt like I was watching a disney movie rather than playing a diablo game with the ingame cutscenes. That being said, I might pick this xpac up if it adds a good amount of content. I had fun with Diablo 3, I just wish it wasn't written by 12 year olds.

It has nothing to do with the horrible DRM, dumbed down progression, goofy art style, and terrible writing. Don't get me wrong, it's not the worst game I've played or anything but acting like the bandwagon exists for no reason just makes you look like a deluded fanboy
Diablo III wasn't incredibly bad, it's just that Torchlight II provided a much more enjoyable experience, so Diablo felt meh in comparison.
