Last semester, I had to buy a Crime in America book for ~$200 that included an online access code.
I open the thing up after I bought it and it has no binding. All the pages are just loose and the bookstore won't buy "books" like that back.

Oh yeah, I have heard of that before (happened at my friends college). He took a business course (marketing I think)- was told he needed to buy a ~$450 book to get the access code that he needs to pass the course. Access codes are non-transferable and bind to student #; $0 resell value on the book.
Seriously man, look around for cheaper deals. Never buy direct from College/University. Honestly just take the ISBN and Google it till you find something (unless you already knew that ;))
