I double checked the tubes and all and it is airtight. As I said, I've used regular yeast so I am not expecting high alcohol percentages, maybe around 12-14 but I've dosed sugar for a good 17% so I may end up with a slightly sweet mix. Also the loop made in the tube was there at first to make a one-way air output but I noticed the tube wasn't large enough for bubbles to pass through water and it would've pushed the water out of the tube so I used a balloon.
