Skullcandy is good. Especially the larger ones but I didn't have that much cash on me. I've heard a lot of good shit about skull candy and the sound quality is really nice. But like I said, Bose beats out anyone. If I had several hundred $$$$ to blow, I would buy a big pair of Bose high quality noise cancelers

the ones i posted? yeah they are brilliant, designed for 2 reasons: keeping outside noises and music completely seperate, and incredible bass
if i listen to dubstep on those things at a high enough volume each beat feels like a punch in the head

what. explain 'officially'. they've been slayed in most professional audio tests, they're fucking terrible.
the spot of best headphones with no regard to price have to go to sennheiser hd800, retailing at $1400/£950, with the prices having stayed around that.
they're not terrible, maybe in professional audio tests or whatever but they do the job incredibly for normal listening

i don't know if you can get a chart of specs for different models, some googling for 'frequency response charts' might help, but just google for the model and you'll probably find the response for individual sets pretty easily man.

i don't really like bose. as a company, they've relied on their name far too much to get them sales moreso than the sound quality. they've just become one of those companies that can sell a lot because ignorant people who don't understand audio fidelity have heard they're good, and they're expensive.

Which is why I would research and find a pair with awesome quality and sound before I spent a shitload of money on them. Know what grinds my gears? iPods can't play FLACs. Gaaaaay

Well what would you recommend to use as a portable mp3 player then?
iPods are fine as portable mp3 players, i'm quite happy with mine, but the audio fidelity on them isn't good at all. although i always strive for sound clarity, i'm usually using mine in a crowded environment as nice music to zone out into. if you're asking what i would suggest for a portable device with better quality, i'm really not sure. i know that microsoft's zune has much better statistics, but overall i'm not so knowledable on portable audio.
I use my iphone earplugs for games, and a £6.98 headset from argos for skype, and it's absolutely wonderful :smile:

I've had both Skullcandy's and Wesc headphones, my Skullcandy's lasted me about 3 months, using them everyday, and i've been using Wesc ever since then, and so far i've had this same pair for about 5 months without any problems
