Ushankas - Easily the greatest hats ever - General

Holy fuck how did i miss this thread? i own 6 of these, one's full fur/leather, other's syntheatic and the other 4 are all wool. simply the greatest hats out there, incredible usefull for sleeping in cars, warming your noggin, concealing mp3 headphones and even carrying kittens around in. and they are like travel pillows you wear on your head, the ear-flaps block out sound and are omfy while the front flap goes over your eyes, perfect for long plane trips. my favorite one looks identical to this one: [img]http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/414jhPrQ67L.jpg[/img] and yes, i'm russian, so i have a 'licence' to wear one. I love ushankas because they are so comfy and when it's cold it's p awesome to have it on and see everyone else go jealous who has a worse hat that isn't warm enough. :3:

Ushankas are really really comfy to wear and they sure keep your head warm. I Bought myself one for 20€ when i was in Berlin at one of those small stalls on the streets selling soviet badges, gas masks, WW2 suits and uniforms, all that stuff. I traded back and fourth with the seller going from 40€-20€ so i was pleased.

I can't believe how worked up some people get over someone wearing a hat. Reading through the last 2 pages made me cringe.

Any ushanka with a hammer and sickle is a novelty item.

I just came back from skiing funnily enough, and I wore my ushanka - but I lost the badge whilst I was there.

These are extremely warm, good for the harsh winters of rural england

I have never seen a thread getting so much derailed. My Ushanka is completely black, it already served me pretty well. They are simply amazing, mine was even pretty cheap.

My friend has a fedora. When he puts a suit on, he pulls off the Italian mobster look. I also know a guy who wears a Ushanka. I feel sorry for that specific Ushanka.

I own a few trilby's, fedoras, and even a top hat. There's maybe 8 other kids (all years) at my high-school that wear hats similar in style. Where did this "they're hipster" thing come from?

Im getting one for christmas. Mainley because its cold here in the UK and russians are awsome.
