i don't know HOW you can wear one of these with the ears up
Ushankas own. They're warm, comfortable, and they keep your ears warm as well
Mine just got delayed in the stupid USPS mail... And it's FREEZING COLD. I want to wear mine :tinfoil:
Just got myself one of these off of ushanka.com. Hopefully I won't look dumb in it. I have a kinda wierd head, and people make fun of me for it. Also I dont know if I should wear it to school. I got the least suggestive pin. [editline]27th January 2013[/editline] You can see my hat here. Aaand if you're a stalker, you can track it here.
Nice hat dude
I have a genuine pilot's ushanka from 1984, with the soviet pin and everything. So comfy, great during the winter.
I loved the Ushanka. Until my mom told me that I looked like a 50 year old drunk communist similar to a mix between a sumo and an old dying Fridtjof Nansen, left in Siberia for a 1000 year to come. Haven't used it since...
[t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6a/Jay_z_2.jpg[/t] Why do I find this so funny? And look at the guy to the left
I didn't know this thread existed. I've had something like 3 ushankas for about 4 years now, a Ukranian one and 2 Chinese PLA-style ones. The Chinese ones are the warmest, softest, most amazing hats I've ever worn.
Got two good ones in Ukraine 'round 4-5 years back and I've been using them every winter since. Didn't know Facepunch had such a hard-on for them all of a sudden though :v:
you look like such a try hard when you wear one though a lot of hats are comfy and don't make you look silly at the same time
you look like such a try hard when you wear one though a lot of hats are comfy and don't make you look silly at the same time
I don't think they make you look silly, the only difference between an ushanka and a traditional winter flap hat that we wear around here is that the ushanka is more square-ish in shape or more furry.
Ushankas look a little silly and can make you look like a tasteless nerd in the wrong context but I love mine for when it gets really cold and my ears hurt when I go outside
you look like such a try hard when you wear one though
could everyone please stop using try hard as an insult it is really dumb
I have one like the OP's picture. Comfortable as fuck. I need a better badge for it than the red star, though.
easily replaced by the fedora, a classier hat
2 years on and this still makes me cringe.
Picked this up at the weekend, still refusing to take it off.
I have one of these and OH MY GOD these are so good to wear in winter.
Pilotkas > Ushankas
Pilotkas > Ushankas
I do believe it's called a Titovka, Pilotka is just the name it's given in tf2 :eng101:
Nice hat dude
Thanks  It's nice to have someone compliment me and my odd shaped head.
This thread is awesome with the Snow on the screen
Why did someone rate agree? there was no snow on the screen this year :(
