There are those who do stuff cause god said so in the bible, or they think that god wants them to do something. There are those who pray for something and expect that supernatural being will give it to them. All that considered sane. At least where I live.

Doing things or expecting things because a book said so is not insane, because someone told you that it would happen, regardless of whether expecting it to happen is dumb or not. Actually hearing things in your head is, no matter how you look at it, insane.

Agree but it's still not that black and white. Believing in deity, believing that a deity has influence on your life, talking to deity, seeing signs from deity, actually hearing deity. When does exactly being stupid turn into being insane? There are degrees of stupid and degrees of insane.
