It is when they're spending all that extra money for nothing but the prestige of the brand. A similar pair of jeans could be bought for $50 or something, but pay triple the price if you must, just don't expect everyone to ignore that in a thread about fashion and purchasing clothes...

i got a pair of levis ive been wearing extensively for about a year, and i already got a 3x2cm hole in my crotch, along with smaller ones
I don't know what you do with your crotch but my $50 jeans from like 3 years ago are perfectly fine right now. I mean, you might as well buy 3 pairs of $50 Levis jeans than 1 pair of apc and wear them each sparingly so they all last longer then. I mean APC might be a bit higher quality but not +200% worth. I can understand doing it for a jacket or something that you wear all the time but jeans are just jeans.
Yeah I've never worn a hole through the crotch of any pair of jeans. If it was the knees I would get it, or around the heel. What do you do for wear and tear on the crotch of jeans?
I've never had a pair of jeans blow out in the crotch, but simply speaking, my Tellasons are the best jeans I own. They look the best, feel the best and are the best made.
I'm glad I paid the extra cost for them, to me it was worth it. I don't give a shit if others disagree though

It's hardly fair to say it's brand alone. If it was literally the same material made in the sam way then yes. But N&F and other raw brands use much higher quality denim, normally made in first world countries. So that comparison is hilariously biased

I'm pretty sure jeans should always be the most expensive item in an outfit because of all things you can get away with wearing them the most. If you're wearing $50 jeans and a $400 jacket then somethings wrong.

Funny that both those pairs look exactly the same and both have the same hole in the back right pocket, except one looks like someone went at the crotch with scissors and the other one does not
