To be honest, most jackets designed for ski sports are rather fancy looking, especially the ones from Burton, Fishbone or Zimtstern.
Umm, could have easily gone for a single coloured one. I know The North Face do loads of snowboard jackets that aren't horribly garish.
It's pretty boring to be honest. I always had one coloured jackets, they are fine but I wanted something fancy. Just visit a Burton story, some of the colours are absolutely nuts.

I've seen plenty of nice burton stuff, I don't know why you only see the brightest shit on the shelf.
I'm just sayin like, snowboarding doesn't really have to be fashionable...
but when you have the option not to look like a walking pack of glowsticks, why not use that opportunity.
That's pretty standard fashion for snowboarders. I don't even know what you're complaining about, the clothes aren't even that bright or whatever. I like the jacket, the goggles not so much. Green goggles and black helmet would have looked nice. It would have matched your jacket and overall outfit really nicely.

that's sorta the snowboarding style
when I started boarding all fashion went out of the window, when I was skiing I generally had nice matching apparel and actually cared about my looks, but since I picked up a board I just wore baggy ski pants and hoodies 3 sizes too big for me. basically, the douche-ier you look on a snowboard, the further people will stay away from you on the runs, which makes for a better experience overall
Also the bright and colourful design makes it easier to spot you. What I really dislike are those who wear a standart gear but have those overly large hoodies and jakets on that are really thin and go to your knees. It looks silly and it's really annoying while boarding.
Ski fashion is quite a contrast to normal streetwear with it's vibrant colours. I stood out quite a lot when I first walked in the ski village in Austria, because I had a black jacket+ jeans and dark navy shoes.
