Personally I really don't like g-shocks, they just look way too big and bulky.

I normally wear a Timex Elevated Classics watch with a black leather band. It was on sale for $25 off of the UO website. It's pretty good, my only complaint is that the black on the leather band is rubbing off pretty quick, revealing an ugly pinkish-grey beneath.

It really depends on who you are.
My personal thoughts on them would be a definite no in all cases, but if for some reason it works in your social circles so be it. Just don't expect them to be recommended or even condoned here. That kind of fashion lays well outside the realm of generally acceptable, and because of that, it is not something that can be recommended.

And I think that it is great that it seemed to work for him. But aesthetically something like that is very niche, as is his hairstyle.
I think it is safe to say that in FULS we (or at least I) strive for a general appearance of presentability and neatness. Things like what you have posted are seemingly neither of those things. It is just something that falls outside of our general guidelines and because of that, most of the responses you will get will likely be hostile.
Beyond that, things like this and the fox tail are far from subtle accents that add to an outfit or style. They are something that dominate the appearance of a person and really command all of the attention, and in that way they are inappropriate for any kind of wear.
