then why not return them for full price and get your money
what size are they? i wear 28x32 so its unlikely we wear the same size
[editline]10th February 2013[/editline]
how are these boots by the way?
http://www.zappos.com/bedstu-bryden-teak
or maybe if there was something really similar but cheaper?
Not sure I like that stitching on the sides near the back. But I'm sort of biased against boots. I've always been under the impression that Bed Stu was great quality though.

well they're the best i've been able to find so far within the bounds of the style im looking for
Then I say if you can't find anything you like for cheaper or that you like more for the same, go for them. It would be especially silly for me to get hung up on something as insignificant as a small line of stitching on the back of an otherwise attractive boot.
As a last ditch resort, have you tried checking a site like shopstyle?
no i have not, in fact i haven't looked very hard at all. hell, if i could find a cheaper pair that looked more or less the same i'd obviously be all for them

bedstu makes some pretty nice boots
i like these
They look like a cross between a cowboy boot a formal shoe and a wellington
So I want to revamp my style, but I don't like the whole metro / skinny look as I am not metro or skinny myself. I'm a really big guy, 6' 4", about 220 lbs. Not fat, but I'm by no means slender. I feel like all of these rolled up skinny jeans and tight ass sweaters / v-necks cater to the skinny crowd. I am lost as to what to wear though. My girlfriend tells me that I look sexy in button ups and oxfords, so I wear those pretty often and just roll up the sleeves.
This is my outfit right now, but I think it's kind of bland. I have the hardest time finding shirts that fit me as AE is really the only store that makes sizes like XLT and Large Tall in decent fashions for a decent price. All of the stuff in big & tall is ugly as hell and either too tall or too wide.
Also, I don't know what kind of jeans to look for. More tight fitting / closer to my body or slightly relaxed fit.
A&F Blue Oxford (XL, fits okay but just a bit short, biggest problem)

H&M Original (38x32 I've lost weight so I could probably pull off a 36x32 now)

Clarks Desert Boot in Beeswax (Size 13 US)

Caravelle by Bulova Watch (Get lots of compliments, but kind of want a watch to match the boots)

Casual Shoes - Vans

This is a regular outfit of mine. I'll work on getting a decent picture in to show it. I feel like I might need more fitting jeans that I can roll up while wearing these boots. Any input or site suggestions would be appreciated.
Get a darker watch!
Get a darker watch!
Suggestions for under like $60? I like more classic looking watches as opposed to like G-Shock and crap like that.
[editline]10th February 2013[/editline]
Also, may I add a link / site suggestion for everyone out there interested in more surf / skate / snowboarding apparel a great site to check out is www.whiskeymilitia.com like a more condensed version of Jacksthreads that's similar to PacSun.

You should get a Timex Weekender. They're pretty simple and only cost $40, I think. I love mine.

This seems to be a bit lighter than my boots, but I think it's swick as hell. Thoughts?

Are tasteful band tees off limits for casual wear?
I dig the dark one but it might be sorta hard to pull off
Are tasteful band tees off limits for casual wear?
Depends on what band and, ultimately, what design. If its something like an iron maiden shirt, then by all means no, but if its something subtle, it might work.
Anyone got any links to a good shoe store in the Netherlands? Every store I go to has these god awful 25 colored type shoes that look like vomit.
Or I find a shoe that I fancy but they fucked up the stitching by using an obnoxious color.
There aren't even any stores that sell vans near me.

First flogging molly one is a no imo. Something about circular logos irks me
First flogging molly one is a no imo. Something about circular logos irks me
I guess I could actually agree. I think there's a bit too much going on, and it's all centered in one place.
None of them are particularly good, if you had to choose one, Flogging Molly circle logo.

theyre all really bad imo
Yep, theyre no good.
An acceptable example would be the frank ocean ones posted a while ago. They dont tell exactly that it is Frank Ocean, and you only get it if youre actually a fan or know his music. Personally I wouldnt wear those anyway, but I think its better than what you posted now
What I was wearing today. I got the ben davis shirt at the thrift store today for 3 bucks. Its like a zippered polo, I've never seen one before today.
you shouldn't get clothes from a thrift shop unless you really know what you're doing (or can't afford anything else ofc)
[editline]11th February 2013[/editline]
get some clothes that fit and a new haircut (hitler youth or something) and you'd probably look pretty handsome.

if you have to ask about shirts like that you should just completely stay away from graphic t-shirts
Fine, no band tees. Anyone know a good place to get cheapish, decent quality large tall / xl tall shirts / tees?
Graphic tees are cool if they're actually designed well..
Well anything is good if its well designed..
so i'm wondering if the purchase of these for $110 was the best idea

i heard bedstu makes great boots but then the amazon reviews say its a piece of shit shoe, and now i'm thinking it doesn't even look as good as i thought before
buyer's remorse

here's the page on amazon

[editline]11th February 2013[/editline]
I probably should've went with this instead
http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=20984233
for the same price because i'm feeling like the former is too dressy now and i'm worried it will just fall apart. do you guys think i should return it when it arrives, or keep it and try it and see?
[editline]11th February 2013[/editline]
god dammit why didn't i just buy the second pair
fuck you guys I bought some graphic tee shirts
also bought some shoes
I think it would be fine, so long as it's a fairly muted color it should work fine in winter.
well its pretty much always above 20c here in texas and i still wear jackets when i wear suits so thats a dumb rule
