I own a 1949 stetson fedora.
It is a decoration for my dresser and not actually something I've ever worn.
Looks nice in that role though.

who the fuck is even gonna know unless you tell them
the other day i was chatting to a friend at uni about clothes and it turned out his shoes were 80 (looked like fairly standard converse-style shoes but apparently were made by some hard-wearing shoe company i've never heard of) his top was 60 (which was half of its original retail price, from all saints but i would never have known), his coat was 120 (looked like a normal dark combat-esque jacket but it had a little barbour logo on it)
i mean wtf is the point. he tried to argue with me that the stuff would last him forever because it's such high quality and that i would end up spending more money than him in the long run... but that's bullshit because nothing i've ever owned has fallen apart other than a shit jacket and a shit pair of shoes from topman. he'd buy new stuff at the same price in a few months anyways so the practicality argument is totally lost
Those aren't really high prices. Shoes and coats tend to run a bit steep i'd say, 120 for a jacked that lasts a few years isn't really that bad.
The point is that apperently your criticism is that you couldn't reconise the clothes to be by an
expensive brand. Clothes like these have a bit more thought put into them, better materials and perhaps better working condtions for who made them (they also tend to look nicer.).
i hope you guys realise lemonator posts sites like these entirely to spite you all
What do you guys think about suspenders? They always seem nifty when I think about them, but when I think a little harder I think you'd look ridiculous.
i had a calculus teacher in college who wore them every day. he was a very short and bubbly old black man, and every day he wore a white dress shirt, a bowtie, and black suspenders
[editline]8th October 2012[/editline]
and then he would make us come up with football references for him to memorize our names

i don't know fashion i just like reading this thread, ignore me
- fourhorsemen.ca dece stuff here
are you on sufu?
At my old work, someone I worked with came into work on his day off to get a few bits.
A few days later, he came to work and asked me what I thought about the jeans he was wearing "I dunno, jeans are jeans " I replied, he then proceeded to tell me they cost him £220.
Another time he bought a belt for £150. He was a complete mug, we used to rinse him for it. I don't even know why he spent so much on stuff it was like hes trying to impress someone. He worked at Tesco for christ's sake.
[editline]8th October 2012[/editline]
I buy most of my plain t shirts from h&m, primark or tesco. No point spending much more for plain t shirts all that matters is if they're a good fit. Also means it doesnt matter if you get them a bit grubby.
where can I get a swag jacket online? I'm delivering shit to ppls doors now and I feel a staple of said profession is a cool jacket
normally youd have the company jacket?
It looks way more aesthetic
ahaha what the hell does this even mean. poor use of the word
normally youd have the company jacket?
maybe if I was a scrub working for the man
I dont know? If youre a deliveryman, and you want to look professional, the company uniform is there to make you look professional, because it tells other people that youre an employee for this company and that they can trust you? I dont know what kind of deliveries youre making or whatever
it's cool i found a bunch of cool ones through links in the OP, crisis averted
What's a good online site that will have a big selection of leather jackets?
Okay okay guys we get it, Lemonator incorrectly used the word "aesthetic". It's just a lapse in syntax, please stop ragging on him for it.
ahaha what the hell does this even mean. poor use of the word
I'm curious to know what you mean by this too, Lemonator.
Could you please define aesthetic how you understand it, and put it in some context of this thread?
how can something even look more aesthetic. that's like saying "that painting looks really more composition" or "that game looks way more graphics"
Do you guys know were I can get some cheap deals on clothes? Preferably tees but I'm down with anything. I'm trying to use up the last $25 on my prepaid card.
h&m or something, check out the OP too
I've always had a pretty bland and common haircut, so I decided to try something new, and I'm pretty pleased with it myself.

aesthetic as in the misc way of saying aesthetic
Example: "Fuaaark, mirin your physique brah, you're aesthetic as fuck"
(google "aesthetic as fuark" and you will understand)

You're one of those people worshiping Zyzz, why am I not surprised.
What should I get, a light grey or dark grey peacoat?
It's meant as bodybuilding lingo, not something to describe clothes. I know it's obvious, but lemonator was implying you could use it with fashion.

Uh, you could easily, EASILY, get clothes that fit just as well that are way cheaper.
Unless you are like 6 ft 8 inches, you should have no trouble finding shirts that fit you in the 15-35 price range. Even cheaper in some standards.
The solution to your problem is having a bit more patience and trying on the clothes you buy before you buy them. You will save so much more money and look just as good.
some of the best fitting tees I have ever bought were from urban outfitters
the most expensive one was a graphic tee at $20
i guess lemonator is one of those people who think the $400 1200-tc sheets are high quality too (hint - threadcount isn't a indicator of quality)
[editline]8th October 2012[/editline]
and levi's slim fit jeans fit basically the same as any other jean for like $40
[editline]8th October 2012[/editline]
why is lemonator even allowed in the thread, every time he says something we all delve into the same bullshit
he just keeps coming back
Well theres a difference between cheaper and more expensive clothes. I have a sweater that cost me like 40€-50€ or something, and it has a realy nice, silky smooth texture to it, 100% cotton. Then compare it to some in H&M for 20€, it usually had a rough feel to it. So I think that a more expensive purchase was completely justified. Now when it comes to buying shorts for 400$, that's just a gimmick
The only time when you should go over £/$100 is when your buying a jacket or blazer (not including watches), otherwise your stepping into "oh shit son look at my label" territory.
There may be exceptions to this, but those are exceptions.
I got this watch a while ago, I've been wearing it a lot recently. I like it.

you guys should get a new banner, the current one is pretty misleading with it's pictures of 200 dollar jeans and other clothes/designers who are out of this threads price range :^)
