Does it really matter how much your clothes cost? Doesn't matter if a t-shirt costs £5 or £50, both can still look like shit. This is just going to end in another 10 pages of useless arguing and sarcasm followed by a page where people post their bank statements (again) to prove they are just thrifty rather than skint. Judge clothes based on aesthetics as an absolute, not as something relative to price. People can spend their money (or their mum's money) on whatever they like.
Bought some new boots (and some other stuff) which arrived today. I know not every one is a fan of the desert boot, but I quite like them.

They aren't quite that dark in real life, that's my shitty phone camera.
you guys should get a new banner, the current one is pretty misleading with it's pictures of 200 dollar jeans and other clothes/designers who are out of this threads price range :^)

wow shit dude your right those vans are way out of my price range
i'm talking about the 180 dollar jeans and the picture of brandon svark. got my hopes up for this thread's tastes i guess
sorry gaiz
and no i don't think price = money (eg Prada has made some pretty disgusting shoes) but I just mean in some cases there are pieces that are worth spending money on
Well theres a difference between cheaper and more expensive clothes. I have a sweater that cost me like 40€-50€ or something, and it has a realy nice, silky smooth texture to it, 100% cotton. Then compare it to some in H&M for 20€, it usually had a rough feel to it. So I think that a more expensive purchase was completely justified. Now when it comes to buying shorts for 400$, that's just a gimmick
see i agree with you here. I like buying good clothes. sometimes that means spending a lot of money. but it some cases it's worth it. not always of course. i'll admit i'm pretty bad at overspending but whatever it's fun because I love clothes, but I'm definitely not someone who likes buying things just because they're expensive and I realise that price is anything but a perfect indication of quality

yeah because that was the whole point
(hint: i even fucking said "higher quality clothes don't have to be expensive")

ive been thinking about something like this, a bit like macklemore except i'm not blonde haired at all so idk how that would work

the sides of my head and my beard hair are very dark and very orange in the light, but the top of my hair is dirty blonde colored so i feel like it might look decent but i dont want to be yet another hipster faggot esp. considering my freshness borders on hipster faggotry most of the time

I can never find pants that aren't jeans that fit me. They're usually too big. I blame the fact that pants never have a waist size below 32 here on the obesity problem which plagues Canada. I swear, it's a godsend to find a pair of pants that fits well. I have to either get them tailored or go to obscure clothing stores.

The funny part is that when I went to Europe in spring break, everything in France and Switzerland fit me really well. Go figure.
Does anybody know of an american walk-in store that sells pea coats that I could go to and shop for a new coat? I have a woolen pea coat from fossil, except it is extremely thick and awkwardly ill-fitting, and I'd like to get a thinner, better fitting coat of the same type.
Winter is coming and it's time to show off the sweaters I own.
I bought this hoodie at Tilly's (they offer pretty decent sweaters and hoodies) and I need help on what to wear it with. What do? Sorry for the image size, only one I could find. ._.
Edit: Saw some posts about shoes. I have these. Nice, simple, look nice. :)

Opinions on this jacket? imo it owns, found it on jackthreads and was like sweet, came back next day and my size was gone
But then I found it on another site for $10 less, so i'm gonna snatch it up
Edit:
I just bought the jacket and these shoes http://www.shoes.com/ProductImages/shoes_iaec1282364.jpg
for 100 bux, I just scrolled through the shoe section quickly and made a snap decision in under 2 minutes while I was finalizing my shit. could be good tho
i don't dig the double breasted take on the bomber jacket + the fact it's not leather and the collar is weird

I got a navy blue peacoat from Banana Republic. It was $250, but my parents bought it for me, and I only had to pay $150 because I got it 40% off. It's real nice, I sized up to a medium so I could fit sweaters underneath it.
i can make my hair look good in the morning, but its always ruined after the bike ride to uni. what can i do? i use wax

Style your hair after you arrive instead of before?

I don't want to sound stupid or anything, but you're not really going to dress up for the fashion show going outside in the showering rain, are you? They're made mainly for protecting you from the rain, not to look good.

Don't listen to these clowns, you can still look sharp in a rain jacket. Just get a windbreaker. You can go a little crazier on the colors with windbreakers than with other jackets because of the material, but I would stick to somewhat-toned down pastel colors.
he needs a rain jacket, a windbreaker isn't a rain jacket.

They would look better in a different color (I can't stand brown sneakers) and without the adidas stripes.
I'd love to have something like this for winter. Anyone know any similar to this maybe at a lower price tag? Or anything similar to this that may look nicer?

A Canada Goose parka jk they're like a thousand bucks.
Check out a local army surplus store perhaps. There should be a bunch of cool, weather-resistant jackets and coats there- all under 100 bucks.
I got an olive mid-thigh genuine military parka with borg lining and collar for just under 40. It got a lot of cool details too, like knives on the shoulder tabs' buttons, and a belt.
[editline]10th October 2012[/editline]
consider thrift shops too.

I bought my parka about 2 years ago from h&m for about £40. Lasted all this time, been through the wars. I love it, damn cozy
