like I said before I'm not a fan of double-breasted outerwear the fact I can't see it on a real person is a huge deal to me especially at 288 pounds
I believe I can pull off a vest quite well. I'm the one proposing a toast.
I have to agree. Most make the wearer look very feminine.
Maybe if you've got a feminine build anyway, in which case you'll probably look feminine in anything. I mean they were designed to be worn by naval commanders, and the last thing military figures would want to wear is womanly clothing like skirts and stuff. Unless they're Scottish ofc

Especially with suits, there's nothing more intimidating than a huge bouncer rocking a db jacket
I'm in the market for a nice peacoat in a tall size. I was wondering what you all thought of this: Any opinion on the color? The maker is J. Crew, if anyone was wondering.
that is definitely a woman's peacoat [editline]17th October 2012[/editline] wait no it's not, looks feminine as hell tho http://www.jcrew.com/mens_category/outerwear/wool/PRDOVR~87195/87195.jsp if you don't have the right type of body for that coat it'll look horrid
that jacket + that thing hes wearing underneath reminds me of a train station worker or something. [editline]17th October 2012[/editline] i posted this jacket before, but maybe youll like something like this. I really like it. Only disadvantage is that its a lot of polyester which fucking sucks, but maybe youll find something like that http://i.imgur.com/olAUe.png https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/61140_4168083679119_1131575262_n.jpg
Yeah, the inserted under-layered part is removable, and I probably would remove it, because let's be honest it doesn't look great. And I do recall you posting that jacket, the only issue I had with it is that I already have one like it and am looking to get something less like it. I do like the lapel and overall look of this one, but I'd have to wait a while 'till I had the money for it anyway.

Pea coats don't look good on short people. Looks fine on me for example I think. I never bought it though cause I didn't really like the inside zip up collar thing. Thinking of buying something like this though
Never saw the point of a pea coat in the UK, if its cold its more than likely going to be wet at the same time. I guess from a fashion point of view it has its appealing points, practicality is winner in my books every time though.

And a lot of time in the winter it tends to be extremely cold without wet weather.
What is a good coat easy to pull off with regular attire? I find myself attracted to the brown coat above, however, I don't think that it can be easily pulled off with jeans and a t-shirt [editline]18th October 2012[/editline] also, ideally a coat that would match most colors. Especially blue since most of my shirts are blue.
Went shopping and got this coat, what do you guys think. I usually just wear like a hoodie or something, not used to coats. Also my mom wanted me to try on some super old Belgian Military Jacket she had lying around, but it didn't come out well, and I think it looks weird on me anyway. Here's the coat I bought: [thumb]http://oi50.tinypic.com/2nbaio4.jpg[/thumb]

Would look fine with a tshirt too as long as it doesn't have a design on it imo. A colored v neck, maybe blue, black, or grey. That coat has such a nice color and the material is really high quality and durable. I like pointer chore coats and it's only 81$ http://www.pointerbrand.com/index.php/jackets-coats/chore-coats/brown-duck-chore-coat.html You can see the quality and color better here http://simplethreads.co/2011/09/14/pointer-brand-chore-coat/

For reference, here is me in formal attire more recently: First from camera right. Granted, it was taken in April, and I have definitely filled out a lot more since then, but I don't know what I will look like when I wear it again due to that fact. Sorry about the quality, it was taken with a smartphone. Maybe I can try a waistcoat again sometime again.
Why do blazers look so much more casual on girls than guys? If I wore a blazer at school i'd look super dressy and stuck up.
because girls don't wear blazers when they want to be formal obviously
blazers look casual on men too if you wear jeans

You just need to be older for that sort of attire to look comfortable on you imo
blazers look casual on men too if you wear jeans
still not really the same level of casual
blazers look casual on men too if you wear jeans
I hate blazers and jeans. Looks full dadcore.

I need a new haircut, what would you suggest?
I need a new haircut, what would you suggest?
Hitler youth.
I need a new haircut, what would you suggest?
Impossible to suggest anything unless you post a side and front view of your face and also what general length you are going for. [editline]18th October 2012[/editline]
Hitler youth.
Incredibly overdone and doesn't work on everybody.
[t]http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/91u05E8D5IL._SL1500_.jpg[/t] Not clothes, but accessory advice needed, is this bag okay by today's standards?
those are horrible if they get heavy
acceptable bags: (assuming you're dressing casually and it's for school/college whatever) (other materials/patterns could look better)
how the hell do you make glasses work, i normally wear contacts but there are days where i dont feel like putting them in and wear glasses, but look like a total idiot doing so. they aren't those huge square frames, just kinda oval shaped.
