It works ok on him but generally I'd say no, too heavy on the sides
it can look disastrous on the wrong head shape
Hmm I might try it then and if it doesn't look good ill just tell her to cut it shorter cause I'm tired of long hair it's getting annoying. I was gonna get a haircut today but it was late and everyone at the hair place looked like they wanted to quit their job right then so I just walked away lol
Why does the background look like he's in some other dimension
his fashion sense is out of this world
Right I need a proper haircut, been doing it myself (It shows, but need to save money)
Observe this disturbing mirror shot, I'm after something that isn't full retard hipster and if possible low maintenance. Something I can just style quickly in the morning.
Suggestions?

you already have it pretty short. i cant see a way to change your hairstyle without waiting a few weeks for your hair to grow first
Yep, nothing to style here.

For anyone who doesn't know, THIS is 'Shane'

hes a total tool and his hair is even worse. No wait, its not as worse as that abortion of a person, but its pretty bad, like sidewalk poop
I have nothing against long hair but that definitely looks like shit.
[editline]21st October 2012[/editline]
Seems like he overstraightened it or something.
it does look over straightened
Doesn't look as bad now

no it still looks bad
I'm not thinking of a total copy, but something like, half-long but yet not that long - it's somewhat common I suppose

something like that, just pulled it randomly off google search. I've no idea how to describe that to any hairdresser, last time I said something simple and understandable and ended up with some geometrical figure on my head. I'm just lookign for a basic half-long haircut that is thin at the ends and doesn't look like a rounded square at the back
Get it cut shorter and then lit it grow. It won't look good if you just want her to trim it or style it. You're also not posting pictures of yourself so we can't exactly tell you what to do. That hairstyle doesn't look that good imo, unless you're in high school I guess. Andrew Garfield used to have something similar before he cut it short i think.

I don't really like it but maybe it works on you. Do whatever you want but know everyone in this thread is gonna tell you not to do it.
yeah, currently in high-school. But I suppose cutting it short and then letting it grow would be easiest solution. So should I just tell the hairdresser to just 'cut it short' or what? After that one cut I'm seriously doubting if I should leave my hair entirely in their hands just like that or not.
Find some short hairstyle you like and tell her to cut it like that. Or go to some fancy salon and tell them to cut it however they would think would look the best on you but that could be risky.
On the topic of hair, I kind of wish my hair was nice like this

so then I could just style it back like this

If only I was blessed with nice hair.
But i dont think that doesnt work for black hair. Youll end up looking like a greaser
I've always wondered, how formal are blazers, for example with jeans? This is probably a silly question to some of you, but I'd really like to know.
it may work on some models. I think its too risky though, maybe you'll come across as a massive hipster douchebag, maybe not. I recommend against it though
If you have a fit build it looks nice if you just want to look a bit more elegant than normal. Sports blazers go great with jeans especially imo. It looks fine on me but I have no reason to wear blazers seeing how I go to a suburban high school.
maybe you'll come across as a massive hipster douchebag
Why would you come across as a massive hipster douchebag for wearing a sports blazer and jeans? I mean maybe if you live in like some small country town in Alabama where everyone wears suspenders.
Snip, I'll come back later.

They are pretty casual. Use them to dress up a button down for a little bit more elegance in an outfit.
(then again, this comes from someone who wears that sort of thing most days out of the week)

I know a guy in my political science course who does the same thing, except he wears a blazer with a t-shirt. Can't say it looks awful, just a bit odd.

I've had friends wear blazers with t-shirts and jeans and no one looks twice at them. It's so you can tell people "Hey, I like suits but I don't want to wear them everywhere I go."

Not my style, but I understand it.
