Answer the call of the thrift.
On a more serious note, H&M has great prices and some great selections.

Zumiez is bomb, AE and Hollister are okay (especially Hollister flannels hnnng) if you don't get shit with giant branding. Hot Topic is fine for jeans and only jeans. Aero is shit.
i wear converse lol
HEY FACEPUNCH WHICH MINOR VARIATION OF THE SAME KIND OF SNEAKER IS BETTER AND MORE STYLISH
They're a bit of a rip off.

UNDONE
if you've even seen the reactions of this thread when people post pictures of themselves with a buttoned top button on a shirt, you'd know the general consensus of the thread, however, i hear its common in england for people to wear shirts with the top button buttoned?
i like my top button buttoned
i like my top button buttoned
from the perspective of an american (i have no idea what nationality you are) it looks really stupid and unfashionable

Kinda fits the stereotype from where I live too.
not gonna lie, I actually really do recommend some stuff from american eagle. Their jeans and levi's are definitely the best options if you aren't going raw denim, don't bother with dior or some stupid shit.
And their denim jackets are also pretty nice too.
[editline]12th November 2012[/editline]
Basically they got some basic stuff you can mix with other shit, and at great prices too.
maybe your whole country is unfashionable
[editline]12th November 2012[/editline]
because polo shirts make you look like a tool
[editline]12th November 2012[/editline]
and you objectively look retarded with your top button done up without wearing a tie
some people may consider it fashionable. but you look retarded. like a literal retarded person who is unable to dress themselves.

don't know about the rest of their clothes, but their jeans are comfortable as hell, dresses fit incredibly well compared to everywhere else i've been, and they have sales all the time.

For sure, their new line has actually skinnys now if you're into that (used to be pretty loose fitting for a skinny). Love them too because they don't fade, unlike other jeans I've owned (talking like black etc)
I've found the only people that do their top button up in the UK are the chino wankers.
And they look like tools without the top button up anyway.
[editline]12th November 2012[/editline]
oh and people who tie their hoodie strings together like this

if you go in to any shopping center within a 100 mile radius of derby or nottingham you'll find several colonies of them
You're doing social judgement wrong, and I probably wouldn't want to meet you.
there is a difference between someone who wears chinos because they like them and a chino wanker
the former i don't have any problem with, the latter can be described using this urban dictionary quote
A vile human being who originally was a huge chav maybe a week ago, but then suddenly purchases a pair of chinos and possibly an optional hollister shirt which replaces the traditional adidas tracksuit, and then suddenly presumes they are an "indie kid": they're not mainstream in the slightest, and "totally unique" from everybody else. Although seeing as most chavs are adopting the chino wanker style, it is becoming pretty mainstream.
Chino wankers are commonly more annoying than actual chavs themselves; they are louder, cockier, walk even more like a dickhead, pretend to be drunk as an excuse to act even more like a twat, shout at everyone who isn't also a chino wanker like them, and are just a general threat to rest of the human population.
who the hell chooses to wear a tied up hoodie
who the hell chooses to wear a tied up hoodie
Guide to being ultra cool:
1. Buy a bright coloured polo shirt/button up
2. Do all buttons up right to the top
3. Buy a snapback and wear it backwards
4. Get a bright coloured hoodie, make sure the hood strings are white and tie them up into a bow.
5. Buy chinos
6. Buy Nike Airs
I could go on facebook and pull up pictures where 9/10 of the dudes are wearing the exact combo above. Looks like they all went shopping together to coordinate their outfits

I would agree that doing up your top button doesn't look great, but what planet are you on to say it's in any way 'objective'? Like there's some math formula to determine how nice a shirt looks? Button-to-length ratio, perhaps?
I would agree that doing up your top button doesn't look great, but what planet are you on to say it's in any way 'objective'? Like there's some math formula to determine how nice a shirt looks? Button-to-length ratio, perhaps?
um it's rusty's opinion of course it's objective you idiot
[editline]12th November 2012[/editline]
the only clothing that is allowed is jeans and grey suits
I would agree that doing up your top button doesn't look great, but what planet are you on to say it's in any way 'objective'? Like there's some math formula to determine how nice a shirt looks? Button-to-length ratio, perhaps?
there isn't a formula to make you automatically fashionable. However, it has to do with your body and emphasizing your strength e.g wearing v necks looks better if you have a bigger chest therefore you can look at things 'objectively' and 'objectively' decide some clothes look better on others while some don't.
also, beyond the basic proportions things, if you open a magazine, a newspaper, whatever you'll see a certain pattern of clothing... and for the most part, i assume you won't see a person with his top button done up without wearing a tie.
it's not a matter of objectively, rather a 'dress code'. Something things almost globally, look better./
