The formula is top button = hype beast
At least with flannels
and for the most part, i assume you won't see a person with his top button done up without wearing a tie
except in the uk it's really really common. like amongst young people i would say it's close to a 50/50 split these days with the top-button/no top-button thing. certain places again will have a different split, with more notoriously alternative parts of cities having more people with the 'indie' top button look goin on
no one looks twice at someone with their top button done up in the uk, at least not in my city

basically, fashion is entirely subjective and varies hugely with geography and society, even in the space of a few miles
-http://www.oaknyc.com/ models look stupid af but they carry solid brands like Acne and Saturdays
$110 beanie what are you an alt of lemonator
i'm pretty sure that hoodie strings tied up/chinos/vans thing has died in the uk by now. only suburban 14 year olds do it
fuck. no.
I started college this year and I thought people would've grown up a bit, but no, literally 90% of the people that attend my college are chino wankers that on a daily basis wear a pair of shit quality low crotch Voi chinos, a flannel or polo shirt, occasionally a hoodie with the strings tied together, and a knock-off north face parka that they bought from Terry behind the pub for £40
For sure, their new line has actually skinnys now if you're into that (used to be pretty loose fitting for a skinny). Love them too because they don't fade, unlike other jeans I've owned (talking like black etc)
Their slims are some of the best, cheapest jeans I have ever gotten my hands on.
What's the beef with polo shirts? They look smart if they're worn with the right combo.
IMO they need to fit VERY well to look nice, and most polo shirts don't fit very well. Not saying they can't be done, just saying they need to be well-fitted to be done well.
I usually wear polos under sweaters.
Like right now I'm wearing a very ill-fitting polo under a well-fitting sweater. Looks fine.
I'll only wear polos by themselves on warm days when I really don't give a fuck.
okay i took a better picture of myself

wow you guys are right, american eagle is fucking expensive. 120$ for 3 jeans, ripoff. got like 7 shirts for 8 bucks each though so i guess thats cool.

40 bucks for a pair of jeans isn't bad, but I only buy from them when they run promos on their jeans anyway.
is it weird that i hate just blue jeans? i like black and darker colored jeans, and vintage. i just dont like blue jeans whatsoever..
I have two pairs of blue jeans, today was the first day in three weeks I wore a pair. I just don't like jeans. I have a pair of black denim I can barely stand, and a pair of these weird purple-ish ones which I dig because their really soft, but 4/5 of my pants are some sort of non-denim.

Haha, Levi's are usually $40-60 and those are considered cheap jeans. For quality denim, $120 isnt that's bad for ONE pair. Not to say those pants suck, their probably pretty great, but $40 for a pair of jeans is really not a bad deal at all.
Think this watch is worth getting for £10?

Looks a bit cheap to me. A bad mix of not classy and not rugged. I wouldn't pay £10 for it, but that's just me.

$40 for a pair of jeans is really cheap. Where do you usually shop?
i usually buy a pair of jeans for around 1000 SEK, probably even more expensive sometimes... which apparently is 147.9950 US dollars
[editline]12th November 2012[/editline]
thats usually what good jeans are sold for
there's one of these latino dudes who's really into basketball that wears a lakers backpack and has his jacket zipped at the bottom but then he thinks it's cool to leave a huge whole in the middle and somehow keep the top of it zipped

id say its worth it if you find something you really want thats good looking, and its not THAT much money
depending on how far you are in terms of growing, i don't spend a lot since i'm going to grow a ton but yeah if you're sure it's going to fit you and last a long time then it's not that much, seeing as you only need 3 or 4
well yea, ive stopped growing so i will have my jeans for a while

uhhh no. $40-50 dollars is exactly what you should be paying for pre washed jeans. $120 for a prewashed is what is a rip off, son.
$120+ for raw denim is a different matter altogether, I doubt anyone is really into that though (I know I'm not, though I'm considering it)
