So you don't grow any hair on your arms?
I do but they're incredibly short and thin.

Does yours "change form" too? Sometimes mines goes extremly red and crazy, other times it's very calm.
I have it on my upper arms. It's pretty annoying (and itchy sometimes), but it usually gets a lot better in the summer.
I have the terrible curse of soft skin. Everyone is always feeling my face and it's fucking creepy.

Mine's pretty consistent, doesn't really change. But I used to get eczema on my hands and the undersides of my arms that was REALLY bad. People can grow out of that, though, and I did. Still get the occasional rare patch of it in the winter. I still have scarring on the underside of my right pinky from a really nasty case of it.
So do people know why it's happening and if it's for lifetime?
Oo, so that's what it's called, I've had it for as long as I can remember, only on both of my upper arms. Only a bit less serious than in the OP's picture.

Our bodies like to overproduce some things sometimes and the Wikipedia page said it was an overproduction of Keratin. Iirc, that's also what your hair and fingernails are made from. And I have a LOT of hair on my head. So I guess that fits pretty well...
Since it's genetic, it probably is a lifetime thing. But the Wiki page says that there are some treatments for it.
Irony: My dermatologist has KP that's exactly like mine.

Wtf i have a lot of hair too!
I have it on my arms. Not as serious as in the picture in the OP though.
I guess I must do, but I didn't know it had a name.
Wtf i have a lot of hair too!
Whenever I brush my hair I get a ton of it in my brush. I also regularly lose a ton of hair, so much so that it collects on my floor and forms tumbleweeds I have to pick up at least 3 times every week.... It also covers the back of my desk chair and I have to clean that, too. But my hair never gets thin.
Do you get any of that, too?
I don't lose a lot of hair, i just have very very thick hair and it grows quickly.
Is this it?

That looks like a form of it, so it's a possibility.
Oh, well cool, I just thought my arms were fucked up until now, atleast now I sorta know what it is, thanks.
I have it on my upper arms. It's pretty annoying (and itchy sometimes), but it usually gets a lot better in the summer.
I also have a variant of it on my face, called keratosis pilaris rubra faceii.

Looks like that, only not quite as bad (except when I exercise or drink alcohol). Shit sucks.
I have it on the back of my arms, and a facial variant.
I have it on shoulders, upper arms, and to some degree on ass. The third is really pain in ass at times, literally.
Well here's the weird thing for me... My mom didn't have it, my dad didn't have it, my brother didn't, nor my grandparents from either side or their mothers or fathers.... We have NO idea where it came from for me. I was just the unlucky bastard.
you've got something else then, keratosis is a dominant trait
you've got something else then, keratosis is a dominant trait
It can't be, there's no other skin disorder like this and my dermatologist, and doctor, and everyone else I've talked to are 100% sure I have KP.
Maybe it just skipped some generations or my mom had a really minor case of it... I have no idea, it had to have snuk in somewhere.
Edit:
Nope, came from mom's side, I have a cousin who has it. Mystery solved.
At least you don't have it on your penis :(

Like half the world's population has it, most people just barely notices it.
I read the title as FPS'ers and I was like, shittttttttttttt.
Oh fuck, i have that on my thighs and the back up my upper arms, also a bit around my ankles. It's fucking annoying as hell.
I have it mildly on upper arms, and some of chest/shoulders. But they just look like tiny skin colour/slightly red bumps, not as bad as the OP's.
my sister and I have it on our upper arms, but it's pretty mild
yeah i probably have a case of this, never got bothered by it, but people sometimes notice it because it looks weird.
always wondered if i could do something about it.
I do not have this, but almost all the girls I know have this on their upper arms.
I have this too, but not as bad. It's rather annoying at times. "My family calls it "chicken skin"
I have it on my upper arms.
