Almost everything about modern Japan is American-inspired. Following WWII there was a huge U.S. military presence in Japan and American ideas of capitalism, style, design and fashion all became enormously popular and ingrained in the culture. Take a look at Japanese cars of the '60s - they copy their American and English counterparts in shape and detail - although perhaps not in proportion.
A slightly more dubious legacy is cigarettes, which were adopted en masse by Japanese people aping American G.I.s who always had one hanging out of the corner of their mouths.

Cultural appropriation is a fancy term for what happens when different cultures mingle and adapt with each other which has been happening since the beginning of the human race. These SJWs hate multiculturalism and diversity and explicitly advocate for segregation and separation of race and cultures, I've even heard some of them complain about race mixing because it means black people aren't having beautiful black babies. Fuckin Nazis man.

I can't see how Germans let alone most adults would have anything against that, as long as the beer isn't shitty & watered down or overpriced, the lederhosen isn't uncomfortable as fuck and there isn't vomit everywhere.
